As if the previous updates didn't persuade us enough to keep our fingers crossed for a new release this year from the Finnish metallers, Ghost Brigade have announced that they have re-signed their contract with the French renowned label Season Of Mist. This seemed to be a perfect opportunity for the band to introduce two new band members entering their line-up: Joni Saalamo on bass (replacing Janne Julin) and Joni Vanhanen on keyboards, which indicates the band has finally settled on a new, permanent keyboardist.
With a fruitful year behind them, Ghost Brigade seem to be preparing to release some new material. The band's guitarist Wille Naukkarinen finally gave fans some news on what's going on in their camp in his interview with Metalfuzz.com.
Ghost Brigade has found an original way to release a new update. The Finns let their fans know they are working on new material by posting a picture on their Facebook page. The band is demoing new songs even though they didn't specify if they plan to release a new EP or full-length album to follow last year's effort Until Fear No Longer Defines Us.

Ghost Brigade have set Until Fear No Longer Defines Us as the title of their forthcoming third album, which has been scheduled for an August 19th (August 23rd in North America) release.
In order to celebrate the release of Until Fear No Longer Defines Us, the band will embark on a Finnish tour in next September and October. Support for most of the shows comes from Finnish dark hardcore act Unkind.
Sons Of Aeon has uploaded three brand-new songs online. The tracks are called "Weakness," "Seeds of Destruction," and "Burden" and are available for streaming/free download at the band's website.
The drums were recorded at Studio Watercastle in Jyväskylä, Finland by Arttu Sarvanne, while guitars and bass were recorded at Sons Of Aeon's home studio and the vocals were handled by Teemu Liekkala. The mixing and mastering was taken care of by Antti Malinen.
The Finnish-based metal band features ex-Swallow The Sun drummer Pasi Pasanen, Ghost Brigade guitarist Wille Naukkarinen and Ghost Brigade guitarist Tommi Kiviniemi on bass. The line-up is completed with Code For Silence vocalist Tony Kaikkonen and Tapio Vartiainen on guitars.

Ghost Brigade took the world by surprise when their debut album "Guided By Fire" was received with raving reviews in autumn of 2007. Stimulated by this success, the Finns will be back in the shops this year, with a new delivery of their original blend of Post-Rock, Metalcore, Progressive Rock, Death and Doom Metal.
Their sophomore album is entitled "Isolation Songs", and will be released on August 3rd in Europe (August 25th in the US) through Season Of Mist Records.
"We are collectively very proud of this record", guitarist Wille comments. "It was a lot of work to get this album done, it took almost two years to write these songs, but now that it's 100% ready I can only say that I feel privileged to be a member of Ghost Brigade. I have a strong feeling we have created something very special with 'Isolation Songs' and it is by far my personal favorite of all recordings I've ever been a part of.
