Recently, Jeff Loomis and his band's tour van was broken into in St. Louis and personal items such as laptops, cameras, musical equipment, cell phones, passports and money were stolen. The band has since then set up a PayPal account (JLoomisbanddonation@outlook.com) for any amount of donations to assist them for the duration of the tour with Soilwork and now also launched an Indiegogo campaign to support their recovery fund.

Legendary guitarist Jeff Loomis has been in the studio the last few months working on his highly anticipated sophomore solo album, to be released later this year. Since entering the studio, Loomis has revealed a number of notable guests that will be appearing on the release and now, Loomis announces the newest special guest: Ihsahn, formerly of Norwegian black metal band Emperor and current solo artist.
Jeff Loomis returns to the studio at the end of this month to begin recording his eagerly awaited sophomore solo album. With key players contributing to the release, there is no doubt fans will be pleased. Aaron Smith (7 Horns 7 Eyes) will be producing the album.
Guitarist Jeff Loomis and drummer Van Williams have announced their departure from Seattle-based progressive thrashers Nevermore. The following announcement was posted on the band's Myspace page:
"In a mutual decision Jeff Loomis and Van Williams have decided to leave Nevermore. The time has come to pursue our own paths from the group. Due to internal struggles and ongoing issues within the band, we feel it is our time to move on. We would like to thank all of our fans around the world for their years of love, support and enthusiasm. This was not an easy decision but a very necessary one at this point, may we all meet again someday, somewhere in time."
Loomis and Williams had been with Nevermore since the band's first album, the self-titled Nevermore from 1995. Nevermore recently announced that they would be cancelling their planned tour with Symphony X. No information regarding additional confirmed tour dates is known at this time.

When asked if Loomis is planning to release a follow-up to his solo album, he answered:
"Yes I do. I actually signed on for 2 more records and I'm working on the new one right now. There's still no title yet but I'm working on the music and hoping for a mid-winter release next year."
Loomis also had the following to say about the Sanctuary reunion:
"All I know at the moment is that Warrel wanted to get the band back together and do a couple of shows and I think we're going to do some festival shows. As far as a new record, I'm not quite sure if that's going to happen yet. That's actually still being talked about. But I can say that there will be a few Sanctuary festival shows over in Germany."
