Swedes Månegarm have finally released a full brand new song from Legions Of The North, their upcoming album. The viking/black metallers chose the title track "Legions Of The North". Swedish viking black metallers Månegarm have released a new studio update about the recording of their new upcoming album, which shall be out sometime in April/May next year through Napalm Records.
Violinist Janne Liljekvist has left Swedish viking metallers Månegarm on permanent basis due to lack of motivation. The band commented on his departure via their Facebook page: "It's of course unfortunate after almost 15 years together, but it's also an unsustainable situation if 1 out of 5 can't find the motivation and put the effort into the band that is needed to move forward."
Swedish viking black metallers Månegarm have signed a deal with Napalm Records. Their 7th studio album should be released in late 2012.
The band posted the following on their official Facebook page: "We are very proud to announce that Månegarm from now on will sail under the flag of Napalm Records. We are very exited and encouraged as we enter this new collaboration and we're certain that this will mean a big improvement for Månegarm as a band. We expect to release a new killer album in late 2012 - Keep your eyes open!"
Swedish metallers Månegarm have issued the short following update on their MySpace blog:
"Månegarm part ways with bassist and long time member Pierre Wilhelmson. The band will not look for a replacement since Erik Grawsiö will handle both vocals and bass on future recordings and live performances."
Månegarm's new video for the song "Vetrarmegin" (Eng: "Winter Force") is now viewable on the world wide web. Coming off Månegarm's latest full-length album "Nattväsen" (Eng: "Night Creatures"), released in November, the clip can be watched below.
The video was filmed on site in a "Viking village" with an incredible pre-renaissance atmosphere, near the band's hometown, Norrtälje (Sweden). Månegarm states: "The Viking village, with its amazing surroundings, will fit the theme of the video just perfect!!" The video was done by Standard Film Team (Dark Funeral, Plector, Zonaria).

Swedish metal act Månegarm have confirmed 22nd October as the release date for their new album "Nattväsen". This will be the band's very first release on Regain Records. Some tasty previews of the new album will be streamed during summer. Announced song titles include: "I Den Svartaste Jord", "Bergagasten", "Vetramegin" and "Nattväsen". Månegarm has been working on the new studio album since September last year.
"On Monday 1st september we will enter Studio underground in Västerås (Sweden) for three weeks to record our 6th fullength album. The album will be named "Nattväsen", Nightcreatures. Some new song titles are: "I den svartaste jord", "Bergagasten" and "Vetramegin".
We will keep you updated of what is going on with reports from the studio here on MySpace. We will also launch a 3 part videoreport between the end of the recordings and the release date. Black/Viking Metal combo Månegarm have announced a Russian mini-tour. This will be the first time the band has graced these lands. They will be playing two shows, one in Moscow and one in St. Petersburg. The main support band will be Arkona.
