Melvins - Releasing New Record In April

Doom/sludge metal pioneers Melvins are releasing a new album, titled Tarantula Heart, on April 19th via Ipecac Recordings. This five-song album, reportedly 39 minutes long, includes contributions by current Ministry and former Soulfly drummer Roy Mayorga, and a Jesse Nieminen-directed music video for the album's lead single "Working The Ditch" which can be streamed below.

Melvins - Massive U.S. Tour Announced

In less than two weeks, Melvins will embark on a 5-week-long U.S. touring march together with Helms Alee. A couple of days ago, the trio confirmed another massive set of new dates over the United States. All 43 shows in total are booked in September and October.

Melvins - New Music In The Making

Sludge metal legends the Melvins put out two albums last year, Working With God and Five Legged Dog, but they don't seem to be slowing down too soon as drummer Dale Crover recently told WV Music that a new full-length record is in the works and will be released either later this year or next year. He also said that the record will include at least one guest appearance, from Dylan Carlson of Earth.

Melvins - Will Put Out First Acoustic Record In October

In two months, Melvins will be releasing their first ever acoustic album Five Legged Dog. Clocking in at 2 1/2 hours, it is spanning the band's career, including covers of songs by the bands such as The Rolling Stones, Alice Cooper, Redd Kross and more. Melvins - Streaming New Track, Releasing Album

The highly prolific Melvins can't be stopped and they are releasing another new album! The group is releasing Pinkus Abortion Technician on April 20th via Ipecac Recordings, featuring both ongoing bass player Steven McDonald (Redd Kross, OFF!) and Butthole Surfers Jeff Pinkus on bass. For now, you can listen to "Stop Moving To Florida" below which is a medley of the James Gang's "Stop" and Butthole Surfers' "Moving To Florida." The band also covers the Beatles' "I Want To Hold Your Hand" and Butthole Surfers' "Graveyard" on the eight-song release.

Melvins and Napalm Death will join forces for the Savage Imperial Death March Tour that kicks off on March 26th, 2016 at The Marquee in Phoenix, Arizona. According to Melvins' Facebook page, Melt Banana is the band that will open for them on this forthcoming North American trek.

Melvins - New Album On The Way, US Tour Confirmed

Californian metallers Melvins are pleased to announce that they are returning with their upcoming new album, Hold It In, to be released on October 14th via Ipecac Recordings. This will be the band's first studio album as a quartet since 2010's The Bride Screams Murder. Joining Buzz Osborne and Dale Crover for the 12-song outing are Butthole Surfers' guitar player Paul Leary and bass player JD Pinkus. Hold It In was recorded in both Los Angeles, CA and Austin, TX earlier this year.
