It seems like the drama circling around Rhapsody Of Fire's fate refuses to end as shortly after vocalist Fabio Lione's decision to leave the band, now comes an announcement from Alex Holzwarth, who served as the drummer of the band since 2000, that states his departure is to "focus his energies on other projects."
The last we've heard of Rhapsody Of Fire, they had cancelled a show in Tel Aviv, Israel in August reportedly due to internal struggles within the band. It seems like they were having issues behind the scenes and now long-time vocalist Fabio Lione just announced that he quit the band. Why? The Italian singer didn't really say much about it but he is focusing on other projects.
Italian power metal veterans Rhapsody Of Fire were supposed to perform in Tel Aviv, Israel (at Havana Club) on August 3rd infront of 300 fans, after cancelling the original date, July 10th, but that show appearantly isn't going to happen either. ProgStage Productions, originizers of the concert, were reluctant and were forced to announce its cancellation. Rhapsody Of Fire have just released their new studio album Dark Wings Of Steel in Europe but it will only be available on December 3rd in the US and December 25th in Japan. The album was produced by keyboardist Alex Staropoli, with all songs composed by Staropoli and Manuel Staropoli, with Roberto De Micheli. All lyrics were written by singer Fabio Lione.
