Sepultura are celebrating their 30th anniversary with a tour in North America in May and June. The thrash legends released their first music 30 years ago in 1985, Bestial Devastation. Bassist Paulo Jr. remains the only original member in the band but there is also guitarist Andreas Kisser, who is in the band since 1987. Now they can't wait to travel in time through their history with their fans in the U.S. and Canada. Sepultura will join forces with the mighty Destruction and Arsis, as well as Boris The Blade, The Last Ten Seconds Of Life, Micawber, and Starkill as rotating openers. Original Sepultura drummer Igor Cavalera, now in Cavalera Conspiracy with his brother Max Cavalera, recently opened the door to a reunion of the classic Sepultura line-up. The topic never really goes away and Igor said in an interview that he hoped that the reunion would happen someday. Now former Sepultura frontman Max Cavalera has responded and tells that a classic lineup reunion won't take place and he's happy to leave it in the past.

Sepultura set out to push some buttons with their new video for the new track "The Vatican". Guitarist Andreas Kisser has described the song "The Vatican" as "one of the tracks that has some death metal influences, whose lyrics tell the story of how the Vatican was created, filled with blood, orgy, murders, corruption, adultery... it's one of the most evil and perverse lyrics I ever wrote."

The band just released their new album The Mediator Between The Head And Hands Must Be The Heart and would be touring in support of it.
Sepultura's new album with one of the longest titles of the year, The Mediator Between The Head And Hands Must Be The Heart, came out yesterday in Europe via Nuclear Blast. The band will be streaming their new album until November 1st, 2013 at this location. The record comes out next Monday the 28th of October in the UK and on the 29th of October in North America.

Legendary thrashers Sepultura will soon release their new album The Mediator Between The Head And Hands Must Be The Heart and are already preparing live shows to support it. Sepultura will be headlining a North American tour which launches this fall in Hollywood, California on November 1st and travels across the US and Canada before touching down in Austin, Texas on November 24th. Joining the band on the Tsunami Of Metal Tour will be Unearth, Kataklysm, Joey Jordison's Scar The Martyr (select dates), Anciients (select dates), and openers Dark Sermon. All of these bands will have new material to present.

Legendary Brazilian thrashers Sepultura have announced the title of their forthcoming album: The Mediator Between The Head And Hands Must Be The Heart. Although being inspired by Fritz Lang's classic 1927 movie 'Metropolis', the album is not set out to be a concept album or a soundtrack like its precedessors Dante XX ('The Divine Comedy') and A-Lex ('A Clockwork Orange'). The album was recorded together with renowned sound guru Ross Robinson. The anticipated new album is scheduled for a late October 2013 release via Nuclear Blast Records.
Dave Lombardo, former drummer for thrash legends Slayer will be featured on the upcoming album by Brazilian-American thrashers Sepultura. Lombardo, who was having some quality time with his kids and dog by the beach near to the studio where Sepultura is recording the new album together with sound guru Ross Robinson (Machine Head, Korn, Fear Factory among others), told Robinson about his whereabouts which lead Ross to ask him if he wanted to guest on the recording.
Drummer Eloy Casagrande of Sepultura was injured while performing with the band in Bourg-en-Bresse, France and will be forced to sit out Sepultura's next few shows in order to recover. Casagrande is recovering well and is expected to rejoin the band on stage on May 7th in Poitiers, France. For the Spanish dates, Kevin Foley (Benighted/Nervecell) will play for Sepultura as a session drummer.
Brazilian veterans Sepultura have released albums steadily in the last few years and the band has already started the writing sessions for their next album and successor to Kairos, released back in 2011. Sepultura plan to release the album this year under Nuclear Blast Records.
