07:08 - Joe Zombie Sumac should be added to the database. Supergroup featuring members of Isis, Baptists, Botch, and Old Man Gloom. Heavier than an elephant.
06:09 - Redn1ght Yeah, sometimes I feel like I spend too much time on /X/ type shit, call me crazy but hey. We all are crazy by some standard of society nowadays. :)
06:04 - ScreamingSteelUS 4:03 am and I've got class + errands + homework + administrative shit to be sorted out tomorrow, but it's a night to be awake for.
06:00 - Redn1ght Sometimes life can be an ass. Not sleeping and you are supposed to have some kind of a class today? >.> Totally forgot.
05:45 - ScreamingSteelUS That was the problem; I was working so hard on other things I didn't have time to kick back and criticize people. But now I've got my first publication of the new year under my belt.
The final details of Incurso, the first album for Relapse Records from Swedish tech-titans Spawn Of Possession have been announced.
Now confirmed to infest North American audiences on March 13th, Incurso was recorded with engineer Magnus Sedenberg at Pama Studios in Kristianopel, Sweden, and offers up nearly an hour's worth of the band's layered death metal urgency.
Swedish tech-death assassins Spawn Of Possession have completed work on their third full-length album, Incurso, for a spring release via Relapse Records. The CD, which will contain nine tracks plus an instrumental intro, was recorded at Pama Studios in Kristianopel, Sweden with engineer Magnus "Mankan" Sedenberg.
Swedish technical death metallers Spawn Of Possession have checked in from the studio with the following update:
"Alright people, today (Monday, June 20th) we begin the recording of the next Spawn of Possession album. Henrik "Morris" Schönström has entered Pama Studios to kick off the drum production together with engineer Mankan Sedenberg. Former drummer and now vocalist Dennis Röndum will also be present to lend his ear and keep the coffee fresh."
The long-awaited follow-up to Noctambulant is expected to be released in autumn through Relapse Records.
Relapse Records is proud to announce the signing of Swedish technical death metallers Spawn Of Possession. The band is currently writing for its Relapse debut and long-awaited follow-up to Noctambulant to be released this fall.
Spawn Of Possession guitarist Jonas Bryssling commented on the signing and upcoming release: "We are very exited to have become part of the Relapse family and their amazing roster. The new album will contain nine tracks plus an instrumental intro which we'll be recording throughout the summer starting in June. Once again we'll be teaming up with producer Mankan Sedenberg at Pama Studios in Sweden.
Right now we're prepping the recording and straightening out the last details of the material. More good news is on the way so keep your eyes open for a brand new Spawn of Possession website which will be launched soon. As usual we like to keep what is coming under wraps, but rest assured this record will be quite a slab of imaginative brutality for you guys to sink your teeth into."
Swedish metallers Spawn Of Possession have issued the following update on their MySpace blog:
"We regret to inform you that we have released Richard Shill of his drumming duties in Spawn Of Possession. Reason being is that Richard depends very much on actual band practice and with Spawn Of Possession members being scattered all over Sweden, Norway and Germany band practice becomes an impossibility. This decision is in no way a reflection on Richards skills as a drummer or his personality as he will always remain part of the Spawn Of Possession family. We wish him all the best with his ongoing and future endeavors in music.
To fill the gap after Richard we have recruited Henrik Schönström to take over the percussive side of the band. Right now Henrik is preparing for the recording of the next album and we welcome him to the camp."
Last week Spawn Of Possession announced they have re-joined with the band's original vocalist Dennis Röndum (ex-Visceral Bleeding). Dennis parted ways, not so amicably, with the band back in 2006. This is what he had to say about his return to Spawn Of Possession:
"I've been quite disconnected from the band for a long time now so when Bryssling got in touch with me it felt kind of surreal. But none the less amazing when he started to describe his visions for the next Spawn Of Possession record and that he wanted me to handle the vocals for it. Now, mind you, it's been over four years of silence between us and we parted on a somewhat bad note but that's in the past. The focus is now on the new material, which Bryssling has invited me to get involved with and after listening to the temp tracks, all I can say is that I'm in for a serious ride. Although my presence have been lacking in the scene I've been busy writing and recording with my new band. It's still all under wraps but hopefully I'll be able to share it with you in a not too distant future. With that said, I'm really excited to be back in the Spawn Of Possession camp and I can't wait to join the others to complete what I believe will be a masterpiece of unparalleled proportions."
Swedish metallers Spawn Of Possession have issued the following update:
"Two very talented and competent musicians have recently joined Spawn Of Possession. Matthew Chalk (Ex-Psycroptic) is going to handle the vocal and lyric writing. Christian Münzner (Obscura, Ex-Necrophagist) is going to do the lead guitar part and unleash his madness into the multicoloured and distorted universe of Spawn Of Possession."
Spawn Of Possession' current line-up:
Vocals - Matthew Chalk
Bass - Erlend Caspersen
Drums - Richard Schill
Guitar - Christian Münzner
Guitar - Jonas Bryssling
Regarding the upcoming album, the band adds: "The songwriting process has been going quite well these last few months and five new songs are now complete. Seven other songs are in the works. We recorded a little pre-production of a new song to finally break the silence. Download it here."
