Norwegian gothic metal pioneers Trail Of Tears are pleased to announce their signing to Greek label The Circle Music for a multifaceted deal. The label will release the first new music by the band in over a decade, starting with the EP Winds of Disdain (release date: 24.05.2024), followed by a full length album later on. The Circle Music will also issue all seven previous albums by the band on vinyl for the first time, starting with 1998`s iconic debut Disclosure In Red.

Vocalist Ronny Thorsen and Cathrine Paulsen have entered a war of words after Cathrine Paulsen announced through the band's official Facebook page that Ronny has decided to leave the band after various problems during the making of their upcoming new album Oscillation. The band posted the following on their MySpace page: "The recordings for the still untitled 7th Trail Of Tears album has been completed in Sound Suite Studio in Marseille, France, with producer Terje Refsnes! Cathrine came through the extreme schedule with flying colours, putting the finishing vocals on the end result and delivered a performance for the history books!"

"Ok, so it's been a while since the last update from the Trail camp. The reason for this silence is simple: we have been keeping ourselves busy writing some new tunes and trying out a few ideas in the studio. We have to say that it has been a good experience and some of the ideas which have surfaced so far sound pretty damn exciting to our ears! We are continuing to write material for the next album and will spend a few more months creating something that will live up to our own expectations and goals and hopefully raise a few eyebrows as well!"
