Unexpect - Sign Licensing Deal For Europe

Montreal Extreme Avantgarde Metallers Unexpect have updated their website with the following announcement:

"Times are good! Our tentacles are in extension process?and it has nothing to do with Viking bowling or the elasticity of lunar trees?

We just got signed on a new label named Ascendance Records for Europe. Under license, "In A Flesh Aquarium" will finally be available all across the European territory for the first time. The initial 2,000 copies of the album will be presented in a limited edition double CD slipcase, the bonus CD featuring the "We, Invaders" EP and a completely exclusive instrumental track. The release date has been scheduled for this fall.

Ascendance Records is a new label funded by Lee Barrett (founder of Candlelight Records; former member of Extreme Noise Terror, currently in To-Mera) and A&R'd by Sam Grant (writer, promoter, broadcaster, interviewer for Sonic Cathedral online).

?and don't forget that we still need your support to win the title of Best Metal Album Of The Year at the GAMIQ awards 2007. You have until August 31 to vote on this website.
On another note, Chaoth is now endorsed by Eden Cabs and Amps. ...and there's a couple more shows that were added.

Unexpect - Announce New Violinist

Montreal's rambunctious and truly unique act Unexpect have successfully found a new violinist to join the band.

In an update posted on their website, they say: "Hello friends, un-friends, mammals and human beings in general? This announcement is based on a structural assemblage of words, necessary tool when you dwell into the theme known as: communication. Today we welcome warmly a new member into the ranks!

Let's give a round of applauses and trace some well deserved parallelograms in the air for our new official violin player, a brilliant music manipulator named Blaise. His talent will undoubtedly contribute to the developing mutation of our music.

Here are the links to his personal MySpace page & another of his musical projects:

The End Records signs Unexpect

The End Records is proud to announce the latest edition to the label:
UNEXPECT? an original band rooted in the creative soils of Quebec. This metal laboratory uses many musical ingredients which correspond to the human shifting mood. Mixing elements of black, death, core and melodic metal ; classical, operatic, medieval, electro, ambient, psychotic, noise and circus music with a progressive edge and an occasional jazzy touch. With a crew composed of 7 different beings, the atmosphere sometimes takes a form of symphonic proportions by its sound diversity and arrangements. Their vocal performance range from an extreme to the other as they alternate between glorious choirs; inhuman screams of deep, high, mid-growl and delirious intensity; theatrical narrations; and clean/sober sections strewn with bewitching feminine singing pleasures.
The ideas traveling in their art are related to the imagination and the inherent creative power of all human beings, subjective faraway fantasy tales, trancelike sensorial exploration, undercover denunciation of social aspects and subconscious realities. Soul-travel being one of the prime reason of music's existence; they give attention to the individuality and personality of each song, to better sail these multiple emotional states of ours. Different destinations breathing on the same vessel. A torrent of diverse feelings, UNEXPECT is a band that can't be classified with a generic label, but more of a musical feeling that will take you on a journey to new places.
