The new outfit Jaded Star has signed with American progressive metal leader Sensory Records for the upcoming springtime release of their debut album. After touring the world and captivating audiences along the way with their previous bands, Jaded Star was founded by Maxi Nil (ex-Visions Of Atlantis) and Raphael Saini (ex-Iced Earth studio musician). Joining forces with Kosta Vreto (Horizon's End, Wardrum) and Babis Nikou (Astral DNA, Opened Paradise, Dia Mageias), the band came into existence in 2013, instantly creating an arsenal of new tunes and beginning to tour that year.
Thomas Caser, Visions Of Atlantis drummer and the only remaining founding member, issued an update on the band's Facebook page today announcing two new singers in the band and the return of "old" band members. Furthermore, the band is working on their new album. It is a big turning point for the symphonic group.

The album was produced and mixed by Frank Pitters and Jakob Grabmayr at the Wildonemusic Studios while the mastering has been done by Mika Jussila at the renowned Finnvox Studios. Austrian symphonic metallers Visions Of Atlantis have announced via Facebook that their new album will be titled Ethera. The band is currently in the studio recording it and plans to release it this year.
Austrian symphonic metal band Visions Of Atlantis has revealed the following update: "In deep mourning and with highest respect we have to notify all Visions Of Atlantis fans that our former female singer Nicole Bogner has passed away at the age of 27 after fighting a severe disease over a long period of time. The band is shocked about the loss of an old VoA-family member but wants to express sincere gratitude to Nicole not only for 5 years of sharing a musical Vision but also for more than a decade of friendship inside and outside of Visions Of Atlantis."
Mario Plank, Visions Of Atlantis' male singer, is forced to sit out the UK Tour dates with Leaves' Eyes due to voice and health problems. For that reason, the band will not play these UK shows. But fear not Metal Female Voices Fest fans, the band reckons he will be ok and will take part in the festival's ninth edition.
After streaming the first audio sample of their upcoming EP, Maria Magdalena, Visions Of Atlantis are now streaming two new audio samples from the tracks "Melancholia" and "Change Of Tides", respectively. Visions Of Atlantis have parted ways with bassist Mario Lochert (also in Emergency Gate), who only joined the band in May last year.
The word from the band reads as follows: "After some crucial internal differences Mario Lochert is no longer a member of Visions of Atlantis. For the upcoming shows we're already working with new session-members who will take over this position for now as the band is currently not looking for a new fix bassplayer! We're looking forward to meeting you all at the next shows."
