Black metal behemoths Watain have just announced a string of European tour dates set to take place in December, on their Black Death Tour 2013. The group will be presenting their new opus The Wild Hunt live. Two more bands will join them as support but that will only be announced later. If your country wasn't contemplated on these tour dates, the rest of Europe will have more dates in early 2014. Watch out for that. What new songs do you want to hear?

Featuring In Solitude and Tribulation as support bands, this month-long headlining trek (aptly named "The Wild Hunt North America") showcases some of Sweden's finest metal from coast to coast.

While there's still no music to devour, Watain have lifted the veil a little bit more on their new album The Wild Hunt. This time around, the black metallers unveiled the cover that will grace the album as well as the tracklist. You can expect eleven new songs. The artwork was executed in oil and mixed materials by Zbigniew M Bielak, the very same artist who was responsible for the Lawless Darkness artwork.

It has been announced that Watain's first single for their new album The Wild Hunt will be released on Summer Solstice, June 21st. The single will be called All That May Bleed, it will be the first taste of the new album and you can see its cover artwork right here created by Bp. Necropolitus Cracoviensis Zbigniew Bielak II.
Watain are starting to lift the veil on the successor to Lawless Darkness. The black metallers announced today that their new album is complete and will have the title The Wild Hunt and you can mark your calendars because it will be released on August 19th in Europe and August 20th in North America via His Master's Noise in collaboration with Century Media Records.
Black metallers Watain, who recently signed with Century Media Records, are currently in the studio recording new material. Three years after the start of the recording of Lawless Darkness, the band returned to Necromorbus Studio in Sweden and begun working on what is to become their 5th full-length album. The tentative release date is now set for August 2013. More details will be unveiled soon.

Legitimately labeled as genre leaders and deservedly awarded with a Swedish Grammy, Watain have worked hard and achieved a lot over the past years despite successfully ignoring any kind of conformity and concession to the metal mainstream. The band's much anticipated fifth studio album will be out in 2013.
Just last week, we announced the tour dates for the Lawless States Of Heretika Tour featuring Behemoth, Watain, Withered and Black Anvil. But then this weekend, the news came out that Behemoth frontman Nergal was taken to a hospital where he was diagnosed with "a serious illness" requiring a "multi-stage treatment". All upcoming Behemoth dates were immediately cancelled.
In regards to the future of the Lawless States Of Heretika Tour, Watain has now issued the following statement:
"As some of you might have heard, Behemoth have been forced to cancel their USA tour. To put an end to rumors and speculations regarding how this affects Watains touring plans, know this; THERE IS NO ESCAPE, WE ARE COMING. Exact dates and further information will be posted soon."
Watain will be co-headlining the Lawless States Of Heretika Tour, a North American trek starting November, with Behemoth, Withered and Black Anvil.
Comments the band: "The time has come to announce the first US leg of the Lawless Darkness tour. When the darkness of November falls, Watain will cross the Atlantic to set the North American shores aflame again... The tour will be done together with Polish veterans Behemoth and it shall go under the name of Lawless States Of Heretika.
This will be Watain's first US tour for Lawless Darkness, and the first time with a complete lineup, with E doing vocals only. The dates are all confirmed, the doomed cities are below."
