Guitar shredder Yngwie Malmsteen is back in the studio recording a new album. This means that the follow-up to 2012's Spellbound album is finally in the works. No further details about the new record have been revealed so far. Next year, Yngwie Malmsteen already has a few performances planned like the Monsters Of Rock Festival in Brazil on April 26th, 2015 and an exclusive show in Tokyo, Japan on February 2nd, 2015.

Neoclassical guitar virtuoso Yngwie Malmsteen has revealed the tracklist and cover artwork that will grace his upcoming new offering Spellbound. Apart from the guitar shredding, he also delivers the lead vocals as well as the other instruments on the new album. The worldwide release date of Spellbound is set for December 5th.
"Rumors have been circulating for some time, but Guitar World has confirmed that Ripper Owens is indeed the new lead singer for Yngwie Malmsteen. Yngwie announced the news to the Guitar World staff today when he came to the magazine's New York headquarters for an exclusive interview and photo shoot.
Malmsteen and Owens, who formerly fronted Judas Priest, are hard at work on a new CD, which is currently scheduled for a July release."
