S-Tool - New Band From Ville Laihiala

Vocalist Ville Laihiala of Sentenced and Poisonblack fame has launched a new band called S-Tool. He is joined in the Finland-based group by drummer Aksu Hanttu (Entwine), bassist Kimmo Hiltunen (Lullacry) and guitarist Sami Leppikangas. Saint Vitus - To Release Live Vol. 2, Debut Track

Saint Vitus just announced a new live release! The doom metal pioneers also unveiled the first raw track taken from their forthcoming live album, Live Vol. 2. Aetherian - Join Lifeforce Records, Debut Album Coming

Good news for fans of Greek melodic death metallers Aetherian! The band is no longer unsigned and has joined the Lifeforce Records family. This also means new releases for the band, specifically their upcoming debut album. In 2015, the band released their debut EP, Tales Of Our Times, and in April 2016 released its first video clip for their new single "The Rain". Aetherian are currently working on new songs for their upcoming debut album, set to be released on Lifeforce Records in the summer of 2017.

A.M.S.G. - Stream Entire New Album

You can start your week by listening to some black metal courtesy of A.M.S.G. The Canadian trio is currently streaming their new musical offering, Hostis Universi Generis, in its entirety online over here. Following the band's debut LP, Anti-Cosmic Tyranny and their limited edition Forbidden Transformation EP, the new A.M.S.G. album (featuring artwork from Jef Whitehead of Leviathan) is being dubbed as "one of the most singular, distinct, and weirdest black metal albums of the year."

The Absence - Share New Song, Recruit Guitarists

U.S. melodic death metallers The Absence have returned and just shared a brand new song! The group released their first new song in three years, "Septic Testament." The song is also the first to feature their two new guitarists, Joey Concepcion (Armageddon) and Taylor Nordberg (Ribspreader, Infernaeon). Five Finger Death Punch - Unveil New Video And Tours

Five Finger Death Punch just released a new video! It's for their next single "I Apologize". Taken from their sixth studio album, Got Your Six, the clip follows Ivan Moody through a cemetery housing deceased rock icons, ranging from Elvis to Kurt Cobain and Amy Winehouse to Jimi Hendrix. The clip was shot at Los Angeles' famed Angelus Rosedale Cemetery with Nathan Cox directing the band-conceived storyline.

Goatwhore - Announce U.S. Live Dates

Goatwhore will return to the U.S. tour circuit this fall on a short run of live shows prior to and following their Ozzfest appearance in San Bernardino, California on September 24th. The trek will commence on September 16th and rupture fifteen stages through October 1st. Support will be provided by The Blood Royale on select dates. The band's latest U.S. journey will follow a two-week trek in Europe, set to kick off next month. For now, there is no word on the follow-up to Constricting Rage Of The Merciless (2014).

The short-lived Newsted project might be over but American bass player Jason Newsted (ex-Metallica, Voivod, Flotsam And Jetsam) is launching a new acoustic project called Would And Steal with Rob Tucker.
