David Shankle Group - New Album On The Way

Known for being a member of Manowar between 1988 and 1994, guitarist David Shankle is about to release the upcoming third full-length offering by his band, David Shankle Group. Titled Still A Warrior, it is due on April 24th in Germany and April 28th in the rest of the world via Pure Steel Records. Joining Shankle in DSG are vocalist Warren Halvarson, bassist Mike Streicher, and drummer Gabriel Anthony. Meanwhile, you can already listen to a new song below to get started!

Hate - Part Ways With Guitarist, Announce Live Session Member

Spring is in the air which apparently means yet another round of line-up changes for the Polish death metal outfit Hate.

Almost two years ago the band suffered a huge loss with the unexpected death of their bassist Mortifer while on tour in Europe. Last Spring, their longtime drummer Hexen decided to leave the band and now their guitarist followed suit.

Dordeduh - Details About Side-Project's Album Revealed

Sunset In The 12th House is a side-project of Dordeduh members Edmond "Huppogramus" Karban and Sol Faur, acting as a mostly instrumental quartet, which is completed by Dordeduh drummer Sergio Ponti and bass player Mihai Moldoveanu. Mozaic will be their debut album, and as the title suggests, the album is conceptualized to be a mosaic of sounds and themes, rather than going in a clear direction, the way Dordeduh does. The album will be released through Prophecy Productions on the 5th of June in Europe and a North American release is scheduled for the 9th of June.

Monolord - Release Third Track From Upcoming Album

Swedish stoner doom formation Monolord generously unveils another track from their soon-to-be-released sophomore album, Vænir. The ten-minute-long piece titled "Died A Million Times" is the third song to be shared ahead of the album's release on April 28th via Riding Easy Records. Thomas Jäger, guitarist/vocalist, says that "this track's theme is a bit different from the others. It's about getting lost in your mind. Burning Point - New Label, To Release New Album

Finnish power metallers Burning Point have signed with AFM Records. Being an active part of the European power metal scene for the last 15 years, the band around mastermind/guitarist Pete Ahonen has added former Battle Beast vocalist Nitte Valo to the group's ranks in 2014 and is set to release their new album soon. Black Sabbath - Farewell Show At Ozzfest Japan Canceled

It turns out Black Sabbath's Japanese "farewell" performance at this year's Ozzfest Japan has been canceled. Also, no explanation was given for this. However, festival attendees will still get Ozzy Osbourne, he will perform with his solo act plus some special friends. The Black Sabbath farewell show caused some confusion among fans and the media, unsure if the performance was their final show in Japan or the band's final show.

Hexis - Members Part Ways, Not Disbanding

UPDATE: Despite the big line-up changes, Hexis is not over as was just confirmed by vocalist Filip Andersen, who will remain the only original member in the band. The old Hexis lineup will play their last show together at Underwerket in Copenhagen, on August 12th. Meanwhile, Filip Andersen is looking for new members to tour in 2016 and write new material.
