Blind Guardian - Introduce New Bassist

Power metallers Blind Guardian have announced the addition of Dutch bassist Barend Courbois to the group's ranks. He was the band's live bassist since 2012. Courbois has played over 4,000 shows and recorded over 60 albums. He has worked with such musicians as Adrian Vandenberg (Whitesnake), Zakk Wylde and Atma Anur (Journey). In 2004, he was voted best metal and all-around bass player by Guitar Player magazine.

Barren Earth - Stream New Track, Reveal New Album Details

After joining Century Media Records, the Finns Barren Earth have now shared the first track from their new record. The progressive death metal outfit, now reinforced by Faroese native lead singer Jón Aldará, launched the title track of their upcoming third full-length. The album will be entitled On Lonely Towers and will be released on March 30th, 2015 in Europe and March 24th in North America. Lycus - Ink Deal With Relapse Records, New Album In Fall

Airbourne - New Label, New Album Coming

Spinefarm Records is proud to welcome Airbourne to their roster. Airbourne, the champions of the hard rock cause, have signed a worldwide deal with the label. Now, with album number 4 likely to be released later this year, Airbourne have joined forces with Spinefarm Records in a new global deal that sees Spinefarm partnering with Universal Germany's Vertigo imprint for the German-speaking markets.
