Skid Row - Announce New EP

Heavy metal veterans Skid Row just announced their next release, the follow-up to 2013's United World Rebellion - Chapter One. The new EP, to be released on August 5th in North America via Megaforce Records, on August 4th in Europe and on August 4th in the UK and rest of the world via UDR Music, will be named Rise Of The Damnation Army - United World Rebellion - Chapter Two.

The black metal band Hate Meditation will become Nachtmystium's Blake Judd main band from now on, it has been announced. The band released their debut Scars in 2013. With The World We Left Behind, to be released in June, as Nachtmystium's final album, Hate Meditation will pick up where Nachtmystium left off.

Hades Almighty - Working On New Album

Although Hades Almighty's record outputs have been virtually dormant since 2004 when Dark Essence Record re-released their 2001 classic The Pulse Of Decay, things are definitely starting to stir in the band's recording front. Devin Townsend - Recordings For New 'Ziltoid' Album Begin

Devin Townsend just doesn't stop. With the Casualties Of Cool release on the horizon, Devin is already preparing the next one and that will be Ziltoid 2. The recording for the new album has begun and the Casualties Of Cool pledge (currently at 490% !) is also funding the Ziltoid project. Drummer Ryan Van Poederooyen has confirmed that the drum tracks are done for Ziltoid 2. The theme of the double album is Ziltoid versus the Devin Townsend Project, with both getting their own album.

Helsótt - Debut Album In July

Californian metallers Helsótt finally have news about their debut album. After releasing the EP Fólkvangr in 2012, they revealed details of the upcoming new release Woven, the band's debut full-length album. Fólkvangr has been re-mixed, re-mastered and included as bonus tracks on the new album. The artwork (available below) was created by Felipe Machado Franco (Blind Guardian/Brainstorm, etc). Slipknot - Paul Gray's Doctor Acquitted Of Manslaughter Charges

Slipknot's bassist Paul Gray passed away in 2010. He was found dead in a hotel room of an overdose of morphine and fentanyl. Now nearly four years after his passing, the doctor that prescribed him drugs was acquitted of all charges in his involuntary manslaughter case. The Des Moines Register reports that Daniel Baldi, who was facing involuntary manslaughter charges for the deaths of numerous patients including late Slipknot bassist Paul Gray, has been acquitted on all seven counts.

Poema Arcanus - Announce New Bassist

Chile doom metal band Poema Arcanus has announced a line-up change and see the return of a familiar face to the band. Bassist Juan Pablo "Hueso" Vallejos is returning. After releasing Transient Chronicles last year, the band has been touring and guitarist Igor Leiva Benavides confirmed in an interview earlier this year that Poema Arcanus would begin writing new material probably this year.
