Triptykon - Announce Revised Special Box Set

Recently, Triptykon's mastermind Tom Gabriel "Warrior" Fischer was vocal about his disapproval of Century Media's Melana Chasmata planned special box set and instead of creating a problem, the label actually listened to Warrior and changed the product to his liking. A new limited edition box set has now been announced for the band's new opus Melana Chasmata approved by Triptykon.

Vanhelgd - New Album Details, Teaser Online

Arkan - Streaming New Song

Sorrows Path - Sign With Iron Shield Records

Greek power doom metal outfit Sorrows Path were forced to announce the ending of their cooperation with German label Rock It Up Records, after the big delay of the release of their upcoming new album Doom Philosophy. Also, as the band states, tour plans and schedules couldn't work together. On the other hand, the band has already signed a new record deal with another German-based label - Iron Shield Records - for the release of their sophomore album.

Vulture Industries - European Shows With Dordeduh And Blutmond

Norwegian metallers Vulture Industries, nominated for Best Avantgarde / Experimental Metal Album on Metal Storm Awards 2013 with The Tower, have just announced a batch of shows in Europe this coming May. They will be joined by Dordeduh and Blutmond on an eleven date tour that will take them to countries such as the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Greece and Slovenia.

Agalloch - Streaming New Song

Acclaimed folk black metal quartet Agalloch have unveiled a new song titled "Celestial Effigy" which is available for streaming over at Pitchfork or below. Carcass - Touring Australia This June

British extreme metallers Carcass have announced that they are returning to Australia in June to promote their new album, Surgical Steel, out since last year via Nuclear Blast Records. The band last toured Australia in 2008. Australian fans in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane will have the pleasure to see Carcass in their home town. See the dates here.

Asphyx - Drummer Bob Bagchus Leaves, Working On New Material

Asphyx founding member and drummer Bob Bagchus will no longer be playing in the band as he wants to spend more time with his family. His duties will be taken over by Stefan Hüskes, a longtime friend of the band. The Dutch death metallers wish Bob and his family all the best and thank him for "the great years of brutality, doom and death." The current Asphyx line-up now features none of the group's original members. However, the band has recently completed 3 new tracks and two of them will be used for the split EP with Swedish group Torture Division.

Cobalt - Phil McSorley Quits The Band

The start of this week has brought many line-up changes. Sadly for fans of Cobalt, it has also affected them this time. The American duo is now reduced to Erik Wunder because Phil McSorley has announced his departure. McSorley also says that Erik will have his blessing if he decides to continue making music under the Cobalt moniker, but so far, that hasn't been confirmed.

Incantation - Finish Recording New Album, Touring Guitarist Announced

Incantation are back with another profound lyrical concept and blasphemous death metal with what's said to be the band's ultimate album to be called Dirges Of Elysium. This new opus will be out in late May on Listenable Records. The band recently announced the departure of guitarist Alex Bouks and their former guitar player, Sonny Lombardozzi, will be filling in on guitar during the touring cycle of their new album.
