Belgian extreme metallers Aborted are very excited to announce to headline the fourth annual 'Devastation On The Nation Tour'. The tour is scheduled to go through in May/June, with support in Psycroptic, Ingested, Disentomb, Arkaik, Venom Prison, Vale Of Pnath (05/25 - 06/08), and Signs Of The Swarm (06/08 - 06/23). Obscura - Complete New Album, Reveal Album Title

Technical death metal masters Obscura have completed their fifth full-length album and announced that it will be entitled Diluvium. Diluvium was recorded with longtime producer V. Santura (Triptykon, Pestilence) at Woodshed Studios in Landshut, Germany and the album is set for a summer 2018 release via Relapse Records.

Black Label Society - Former Guitarist Pleads Guilty To Sending Minor Sexually Explicit Images

And now for some disturbing news. According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, a former instructor at School of Rock Castle Shannon and rhythm guitarist for the heavy metal band Black Label Society between 1998-2013, pleaded guilty to sending sexually explicit messages to a 14-year-old female music school student. Nicholas Catanese, 46, of Findlay pleaded guilty to unlawful contact, corruption of minors and endangering the welfare of children before Allegheny County Common Pleas Judge Donna Jo McDaniel.

Iced Earth - To Re-Record Early Albums

Currently on tour in Europe, U.S. metallers Iced Earth have recently talked about the re-recording of their early albums. In a recent interview, guitarist and band leader Jon Schaffer discussed this idea. The band is going to be re-recording the early catalog because Schaffer doesn't own the master rights and there's no income coming from that. If they redo those records, then everybody in the band will be able to get a royalty in the future.
