Mono - To Enter The Studio, Announce European Tour

Japanese post-rock masters Mono will enter the studio to record their new full-length release this July with Steve Albini (Zao, KEN Mode) helming the production. The band plans for a January release, with a first single due out in September. Additionally, Mono confirmed a string of dates for the 'Blue Blood Moon European Tour', scheduled for this coming fall. A Storm Of Light and Jo Quail will join them as support on the road.

Enslaved - Drummer Cato Bekkevold Quits The Band

Enslaved's drummer since 2003, Cato Bekkevold is calling it quits. He would like to spend more time with his daughter, and he is not perfect physically for drumming in the band anymore. His last show will be at Hellfest 2018 in France. The band has not announced a replacement yet, but Cato mentioned Iver Sandøy as a future drummer in his video announcing his retirement.

Misery Index - Tracking New Album

Misery Index has finally begun recording their new album to follow The Killing Gods (2014). You can start anticipating the crushing new material because drummer Adam Jarvis is in Florida this week tracking drums at Mana Recording with engineering maestro Erik Rutan. The organizers of the annual Maryland Deathfest have announced the first 25 confirmed bands for next year's edition. Maryland Deathfest XVII is set to take place at Rams Head Live and Baltimore Soundstage on May 23-26, 2019. The initial line-up includes the black metallers Bethlehem, death metal band Brutality, Immolation, sludge bringers Indian, thrashers Violator, Mortician, Pestilence, U.S. black metallers Skáphe, Vomitory, and more. Dream Theater - Enter The Studio, Update On New Album

Recently, Dream Theater signed a deal with Sony Music Entertainment via Inside Out Music for the release of their next album and now they are hard at work on new material. The progressive metallers have just entered their new recording studio for the next few weeks working on the new Dream Theater album and according to them, it's been "very productive" and it's sounding "heavy".
