Blockheads - Sign With Relapse Records

Relapse Records has announced the signing of French grindcore activists Blockheads. The label released the following statement: "Formed 20 years ago, Blockheads (Xav - vocals, Fred - guitar/vocals, Nico - drums/vocals & Eric - bass/vocals) has unleashed four full-lengths in addition to numerous splits, comps and DVDs. Early 2013 will see the release of their long awaited fifth LP and first full-length in over six years via Relapse."

McGalligog - Daragh Kenny Leaves The Band Due To Health Issues

Drummer Daragh Kenny has left Ireland's McGalligog. Daragh Kenny himself released the following statement explaining why: "Dear McGalligog fans, Daragh here, with the saddest heart I must inform you of my departure from the band. My reasons are absolutely nothing musical or to do with in fighting as with most departures."

Swiss industrial metal outfit Sybreed have unveiled the artwork for their new upcoming album entitled God Is An Automaton, which can be viewed below. Hegemon - Recording New Album In August

Four years after the release of Contemptus Mundi, French black metallers Hegemon have announced that they will start recording its successor this August. This will be the band's fourth album and should be out through Season Of Mist. The band has a complete line-up again after welcoming their new drummer AD to the band in March, which replaced Pierre Beziat who passed away in 2010.

Kistvaen - Part Ways With Vocalist

Romanian black metal band Kistvaen has parted ways with their vocalist Stefan after four years of service. The band posted a brief statement on their Myspace: "Due to personal reasons, the vocalist Stefan is no longer a Kistvaen member. We wish him good luck and all the best in the future."

Cro-Mags - Show With Sick Of It All Cancelled Due To Violent Incident

According to BoweryBoogie.com, a hardcore show as part of the CBGB Festival at Weber Hall in New York featuring Sick Of It All, Cro-Mags and Vision Of Disorder, had to be cancelled on July 6th when Harley Flanagan, founding (and former) bass player of the Cro-Mags, reportedly entered the VIP Lounge with a knife and stabbed and injured current Cro-Mags bassist Mike Couls in the chest.
