The final details of Incurso, the first album for Relapse Records from Swedish tech-titans Spawn Of Possession have been announced.

Now confirmed to infest North American audiences on March 13th, Incurso was recorded with engineer Magnus Sedenberg at Pama Studios in Kristianopel, Sweden, and offers up nearly an hour's worth of the band's layered death metal urgency.

The album artwork for French extreme prog project Derelict Earth's upcoming album Below The Empty Skies has been unveiled and can now be seen below. The artwork was created by Greek artist Manthos Lappas while the textwork was done by Dominique Stainer.

Below The Empty Skies is tentatively scheduled for April 2012 and will be released for free as were all Derelict Earth previous records. More album details here.

The band released the following short statement on the guitarist departure: "Today guitarist Bas Brussaard decided to quit Supreme Pain because he is no longer motivated. Because of this we are also forced to cancel our gig on the 7th of January at Cafe Asgard, Beverwijk."

Swedish heavy metallers Sabaton have confirmed on their official website that Carolus Rex will be the title of the band's upcoming album, due to be released at the end of May via Nuclear Blast Records. The album will be recorded in a few days with more details to be announced very soon.

The band commented: "We felt it was time for America to get something of a special show and this time the release party will be in Los Angeles, California (on May 23 at the Key Club in West Hollywood). This show will be the only U.S. West Coast show and it will be the world premiere of new songs."

American doom metallers Daylight Dies have issued the following update regarding the band's upcoming album: "2011 has been a year of writing new music, recording in the studio and having an incredible time performing in Italy, Portugal and Spain. On the new album front, we've now completed guitar leads, rhythms, drums and bass guitar and clean guitar are halfway done. Most previous releases relied on post-EQ'ed cutting tapes.
