Celtic Legacy is sorry to announce that the band is to be put on hold indefinitely with immediate effect.
A statement from the band reads as follows: "We had already begun the process of following up "Guardian Of Eternity", but financial woes have put paid to the prospect of a new album. The band is in heavy debt following the recording of the previous CD. It was hoped that sales of the last release would finance new recordings but subsequent heavy downloading massively outstripped actual album sales, effectively putting paid to any chance we had of financing new projects.
Putting it simply - we're broke. We put everything we had into the last album, but the music scene has changed to the point where we simply can't afford any further band activity, especially with the recession adding to the money squeeze. We've made back only a fraction of the money it cost us to record the last album and we can't afford to do another one. It's as simple as that.

There are a couple of new Noumena songs written already, but we need more. Just to show Noumena is alive and kicking, please visit Noumena MySpace and get familiar with a demo version of a brand new song called "Sleep". The song also introduces a stunning new voice in Noumena soundscape. Female vocalist Suvi Uura will give you some shivers...
At the moment we don't have a record deal with any label. No need to mention, but our goal is to get one and release a convincing album in future!

Midnattsol have issued the following update through their MySpace blog:
"Recently we told you the happy news, that our guitarist Fabian Pospiech became father of a little son. Such events always also bring some changes in life, thus Fabz decided to concentrate increasingly on his family and his new job. Unfortunately this also means that Fabz won't be able to play at Midnattsol any longer. We can understand his decision very well and wish him all the best and good luck for the future!
Thus it also means for us now: Midnattsol search for a new guitarist!
To complete the line-up and blast off again we are searching for a band experienced and creative guitarist. Do you already have live experience, are you motivated and ready for headbanging? Then please write to newguitarist midnattsol com and give us a short description about yourself (if possible with a picture) and what you have musically done so far.

Power Quest have issued the following announcement regarding the departure of vocalist Alessio Garavello:
"We are very sad to announce that Alessio Garavello will be leaving Power Quest after the festival shows in September. Alessio has been the voice of Power Quest ever since the 'Wings of Forever' album back in 2002, and has also had two stints of playing rhythm guitar in the band as well. In that time he has established himself as one of the top power metal vocalists in the business.
"Founding member Steve Williams commented: 'I have to say I was surprised when I got the call from Alessio telling me the news. I can hardly believe it is 7 years since a fresh faced, 21 year old Italian came over to record for the first time. We didn't know it then but it was the start of a great friendship, which will transcend band membership and all that. We always say in PQ that you only get one life and you have to make the absolute most of it. Sometimes that involved difficult decisions such as the one Alessio has made. I fully respect and support his decision and wish him all the best in his future musical endeavours. I'd like to thank Al for all his hard work and commitment to the cause over the years and, following the departure of Steve Scott earlier this year, it is truly the end of an era.'
The band has uploaded a new song titled "Atlantis" from their upcoming album to their myspace page. Also the following message has been posted on the Ascendance Records blog:
"Ascendance Records are proud to announce the release of the début album from Whyzdom entitled "From The Brink Of Infinity" on the 21st September.
Go here to see the album cover.
Think of a huge orchestra and a massive symphonic choir intertwined with powerful riffs and enchanting melodies from a clear and passionate feminine voice, and you'll get an idea of what Whyzdom have managed to create. Their classical influences ranging from the romantic to the contemporary period, as well as the appealing melodies that drive the songs, make their sound utterly unmistakeable in an ever growing scene.
Metal Blade Records have posted a sample of the new Hail Of Bullets song "Liberators". Check it out here. The song will be featured on the band's upcoming EP "Warsaw Rising". All info about that EP here.

Twilightning has decided to call it quits. A message from the band reads as follows: "We discovered the fact that the drive has vanished and there's no point of going on without the full force and motivation. Then we just not only would cheat ourselves but also our fans. Everyone continues to pursue their musical careers on their own projects and bands. Boston Massachusetts metalers Ravage are ready to unleash their Metal Blade Records debut, "The End of Tomorrow" on August 18th 2009. Artwork was handled by the famed artist Ed Repka who is known best for his Megadeth covers as well as cover art for Death, Municipal Waste, Toxic Holocaust, and Austrian Death Machine. "The End of Tomorrow" seamlessly intertwines the sounds of New Wave of British Heavy Metal, late 80's American Thrash Metal and late 90's European power metal to showcase the band's signature style. The album is sure to be enjoyed by metal maniacs young and old as it blends the soaring vocal and guitar melodies of Iron Maiden and Helloween with the raw power of thrashers like Testament and Kreator, presented in a crisply modern production-style courtesy of producer Peter Rutcho.
Machine Head announced that the band will no longer play the upcoming Sonisphere Festival at Knebworth, UK:
"It is with the utmost disappointment that we must announce that Machine Head will not be playing the Sonisphere date at Knebworth in the U.K. on August 2nd.
In a turn of events that has left us absolutely baffled, the promoter of the U.K. Sonisphere festival recently placed, unbeknownst to us, Limp Bizkit in our 3rd slot on the festival. Seeing as the running order was a significant part of the negotiation and agreement between us and the promoter, and the fact that we had been advertised in that slot since the festival's announcement, you can imagine our surprise when we were "told" that we would now be playing in the 4th slot, under Limp Bizkit, and bizarrely, it was actually expected that we would quietly move down the bill without issue. We will not.
