Judas Priest - Joining Deep Purple On Co-Headline Tour

Two British long running legends, Deep Purple and Judas Priest, will join their forces and play an epic co-headlining summer tour in North America. Produced by Live Nation, the outing will kick off August 21st in Cincinnati, Ohio and visit 25 cities across the U.S. and Canada before wrapping September 30th in Wheatland, California.

Deep Purple - Premiere Video, Announce New Releases

Deep Purple are setting sails into new waters with their first ever animated video. The official video for "The Surprising", one of the fan favourites from the new album, inFinite, takes the viewer on a journey through the fifty year history of the band. With high attention to detail, the animated video follows the five heroes of our story - Ian Gillan, Ian Paice, Roger Glover, Don Airey and Steve Morse - through a stormy ship cruise full of allusions and sees them riding off into the sunset. Deep Purple - Announce Long Goodbye Tour

Shortly after revealing the title of their new album, inFinite, Deep Purple also announced that they will tour the UK in November 2017 with The Long Goodbye Tour and special guests, Europe! Tickets go on sale at 9am GMT on 9th December. The tour title increases speculation that Deep Purple are planning to end their career.

Deep Purple - Fire In The Sky Book Due In 2017

Fire In The Sky is a new book which might interest fans of Deep Purple. It covers the story of the making of Deep Purple's classic album Machine Head and the worldwide rock anthem "Smoke On The Water". This forthcoming title is due in the Spring 2017 on Easy On The Eye. The author Simon Robinson has been closely involved in the ongoing archive programme overseeing many of the reissues of the group's classic back-catalogue and live recordings. He has written extensively on the group's history for magazines around the world as well as CD booklets. Stephen Clare worked on the previous book and has been heavily involved in research and tracking down people close to the actual events.

Deep Purple - Cancels Two Swedish Shows

British hard rockers Deep Purple have canceled the two shows they were scheduled to play in Sweden this week (Tuesday, June 14th at Gröna Lund in Stockholm and Wednesday, June 15th at Liseberg in Gothenburg) after one of the band members became ill. No further details have yet been made available by the group neither did they release any statement about it so far.

Deep Purple - To Begin Recording New Album In January

Deep Purple have announced that they'll be entering the studio in early 2016 to begin recording their 20th studio album! During a new interview, guitarist Steve Morse revealed the sessions will begin in the middle of January and that the group has been working on new material. Ritchie Blackmore - In Legal Battle Over Deep Purple Royalties

The Daily Mail is reporting that former Deep Purple guitarist Ritchie Blackmore has sued two management companies, HEC Enterprises and Deep Purple (Overseas), claiming that he got underpaid in recent years for co-writing such songs as "Smoke On The Water", "Black Night" and "Highway Star" and that he is owed £750,000.

Deep Purple will soon release not one but two separate live albums. From The Setting Sun... (In Wacken) and ...To The Rising Sun (In Tokyo) on 2CD+DVD, DVD, Blu-ray (Tokyo performance), Blu-ray 3D (Wacken performance) and 3LP gatefold on August 28th via earMUSIC. From The Setting Sun... (In Wacken) has been filmed by nine HD cameras at Wacken Open Air festival 2013. For the first time in Deep Purple's history, the band will release a 3D version of their performance on Blu-ray, filmed at Wacken. ...To The Rising Sun (In Tokyo) has been filmed by twelve HD cameras at Nippon Budokan, Tokyo in April 2014.
