Soulseller Records is loudly presenting an exclusive and limited 7 inch EP vinyl by the legendary Enslaved, due in late August/early September.

The mythological universe of Enslaved is full of references to the timeless concepts of ones word and the strength of bonds. About a decade ago, a pact between Enslaved and Soulseller Records were made to do a strictly limited 7 inch release with exclusive Enslaved material. The whole agreement was based on both parties love for vinyl and the old ways of the Extreme Metal scene. Well, shortly after the pact was made, Enslaved's career accelerated a lot, and the Enslaved/Soulseller deal kept having to wait for the next recording, promo trip or tour. Well, finally it was realized that things were never going to slow down (which is good news!), and that the time was right to do it! That Enslaved's present record label Indie Recordings respected the agreement without hesitation only adds to the air of genuine musical and artistic values that surrounds this release.

The result is the 7 inch vinyl enitled Thorn; consisting of the songs "Disintegrator" and "Striker", pressed in a strictly limited number of 1000 copies. The songs are eerie and atmospheric, with nods both back towards Enslaved's edgier-monotonous past and dark-psychedelic present.

The 7 inch is produced by Enslaved's own Ivar Bjørnson and Iver Sandøy (who the band has worked with since last years Axioma Ethica Odini).

Norwegian progressive black metal quintet Enslaved will be returning to North America this fall for a headlining tour marking the band's 20th anniversary of existence.

The Circling Above & Within - North American Tour, Part II is taking off by the end of September, and features the support of Ghost and Alcest.

A statement from the band goes as follows: "Listen; the sun is setting, but I still see the twinkle! The support we've been getting from North America throughout our latest releases and tours is unparalleled, and for that we are eternally grateful. It is therefore an undivided pleasure for us to announce that when autumn sets, we will be back to tour the U.S. and Canada; this time for a full headliner tour with a full headliner set. 2011 marks the 20th anniversary for Enslaved, so we will be underlining both the deep past and blazing present of our musical universe to celebrate. Enslaved - who recently took home a Metal Storm Award for Best Black Metal Album - have won the "Best Metal Album" category at the 2010 Norwegian Spellemannsprisen for their most recent Axioma Ethica Odini.

The 39th annual Spellemann Awards (the Norwegian equivalent of the US Grammy Awards) were held last night, Saturday March 5th, at the Spektrum in Oslo, Norway.

The other nominees were Shining - Blackjazz, Ihsahn - After and Solefald - Norrøn Livskunst.

This was the sixth time Enslaved got nominated for this prestigious music award. The band has been awarded a Spellemann for their previous three studio albums, Vertebrae (2008), Ruun (2006) and Isa (2004).

Kvelertak were awarded a Spellemann for "Best Rock Album" and "Best Newcomer".
