Doom metal band Kauan have revealed the cover art and album details for their fifth album Pirut. The Russian/Ukrainian outfit's new album is due for pre-order on October 23rd through Finnish label Blood Music. Pirut (translated as "Devils") showcases a single 39-minute long track, "twisting the band's traditional melancholic post-rock beauty into something much more sinister and operatic." Russian folk metal band Kauan is now a five-member band as violinist Lubov Mushnikova has left the band and three new members joined the fold. The group's new line-up was introduced today with some major changes. Also, Kauan is currently looking for the possibility of doing gigs and tours worldwide.

The Russian band Kauan has finished recording their 5th album which they have revealed will be called Pirut, which translates from Finnish as Devils. It will be a single, 40-minute long song which the band describes as "a blend of neo-classical and funeral doom metal." The album will be released by Finnish/US record label Blood Music. The mixing of the album, however, has been delayed.
