Mayhem - Label Change, Announce New Album & Tour

Norwegian black metal legends, Mayhem, have signed to Century Media Records and are ready to deliver their 6th offering through the label. Not much has been revealed about the album, other than that it will be released this year on the 25th of October. Afterwards they will embark on an European headlining tour with Gaahls Wyrd and GosT as support.

Mayhem - Announce Re-Release Of 'Grand Declaration Of War'

Norwegian black metal titans Mayhem have announced the re-release of their 2000 album, Grand Declaration Of War. One of the band's most experimental outputs, it features many unorthodox sounds not found on many other records. Combining black metal, progressive music, hip hop, avant-garde, electronic, it wasn't exactly well-received by many fans. The album has been re-mixed and re-mastered by Jaime Gomez Arellano at Orgone Studios in the UK.

Mayhem - North American Tour Dates Confirmed

Mayhem - Announce Second Leg Of 'Purgatorium Europæ' Tour

Norwegian black metal icons Mayhem will embark on the second leg of their European live takeover this fall. The "Purgatorium Europæ - Pars Duorum" tour will commence September 29th in Berlin, Germany and ravage its way through twelve countries and nineteen cities, drawing to a close on October 27th in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Mayhem - 'De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas Alive' Streaming In Full

Norwegian black metal icons Mayhem are commemorating the release of their 1994 landmark debut album, De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas. In order to do that, the band has self-released De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas Alive. Captured live in Norrköping, Sweden last year during the band's headlining set at the Black Christmass Festival, the show marked Mayhem's first time ever playing the album in full. Mayhem - Release Music Video

The controversial Mayhem have unveiled a new video for the track "Watchers". The video, directed and shot by Magnetar Studio is streaming now online. "Watchers" is taken from the band's latest album, Esoteric Warfare, considered the Best Black Metal Album Of 2014 on Metal Storm Awards. You can watch the band on their live environment as the video contains footage professionally shot by nine separate cameras. The performance was captured during the Baltimore stop of the Black Metal Warfare II Tour.

Mayhem - To Perform 'De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas' In Its Entirety

The Norwegian Black metal pioneers of Mayhem have been announced to perform 1994's De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas, the band's debut album, in its entirety at Bristol, UK's Temples Festival, taking place at the Motion venue from June 3rd to 5th, with a pre-party taking place on the 2nd. Mayhem will headline the first night of the festival.

Mayhem Festival - Co-Founder Pens Open Letter Regarding Tour Controversy

There has been much discussion around Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival this year and not the good kind. The festival's co-founder Kevin Lyman said in an interview that "metal got gray, bald and fat" and that pissed a lot of people. Then Slayer's Kerry King got involved, criticized the organization of the event and blamed the festival's low attendances on the fact that the 2015 Mayhem lineup sucks, angering some of the smaller bands. Now co-founder of the festival, John Reese, has penned an "open letter" to the heavy metal community, asking everyone to support the genre and not continue to make divisive comments regarding the event. A bit of damage control it seems but things already got out of hand.
