Scorpions - New Drummer Announced

As it turns out, Mikkey Dee isn't just Scorpions touring drummer. As previously reported, Dee joined the German band as their touring drummer, but now he will be a permanent member. He steps in to replace James Kottak.

Scorpions - Recruit Mikkey Dee To Fill In On U.S. Dates

After Motörhead's iconic frontman Lemmy died and the band dissolved, Swedish drummer Mikkey Dee had to search for other gigs and was supposed to perform with Thin Lizzy on their anniversary shows. However, he will join German iconic rockers Scorpions instead as they have hired him for their U.S. tour dates. He will replace the band's drummer James Kottak, who is currently on break while he seeks medical attention.

Scorpions - To Release Tour Edition Of 'Return To Forever'

German outfit Scorpions have some exciting news for their fans. Their new album Return To Forever will be re-released as CD+2DVD Tour Edition on March 11th. After last year's massive sold-out world tour, the band is back to rock stages even harder. On their 50th anniversary world tour that kicked off in 2015, Scorpions are heading to Eastern Europe in February before returning to the US with a five night run at The Joint inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas and playing even more shows in cities around the globe.

Scorpions - To Play 5 Shows In Las Vegas

After a sold-out show back in October 2015, Germans Scorpions are back to rock even harder with an impressive five-night run at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Special guests Queensrÿche are returning for each night of the limited engagement. Performances are scheduled for May 13th, May 14th, May 18th, May 20th and May 21st and tickets go on sale Friday, January 15th at 10 a.m.

Scorpions - Streaming Unreleased Demo Song

Scorpions have shared another demo track online. This time around, the demo is "Midnight Blues Jam" accompanied by a selection of archive photos. Before, they released a previously unreleased demo version of a song called "Running For The Plane", written and recorded during the Blackout sessions in 1982. Their 50th anniversary Deluxe Edition re-issues of 8 classic‬ records has just been released. The albums include never before heard songs, demos, artwork and much more!

Scorpions - Berlin Show Cancelled

Scorpions have announced that their Berlin (Germany) concert, scheduled for November 3rd is cancelled due to technical problems. The band elaborates in their official website about the root of the cancelation. Basically, it was impossible to scale down the arena show and technical equipment needed to perform in a small club without compromising the musical quality.

Scorpions - Share Promo Clip For Documentary And New Video

Scorpions latest video for their new single "Going Out With A Bang" has been released. Taken from the new album Return To Forever, the video was filmed on location in Barcelona and the U.K. and directed by German documentarian/cinematographer Dennis Dirksen. Watch it now here. Scorpions - Unreleased Demo Streaming Online

Hard rock veterans Scorpions have posted online a previously unreleased demo version of a song called "Running For The Plane", written and recorded during the Blackout sessions in 1982. The demo of "Running For The Plane" is a rare piece from the band's heaviest era. The track appears on the upcoming November 6th release of the 50th anniversary Deluxe Editions, where Scorpions celebrate their achievements and open their vaults to unleash unreleased songs, alternative versions of big hits, rough mixes and rare live concert footage.

Scorpions - 'Taken By Force' And 'Tokyo Tapes' To Be Reissued

Tokyo Tapes (1978), the first live album by the German hard rock band Scorpions, and Taken By Force (1977), the group's fifth studio album and the final effort to feature guitarist Uli Jon Roth, will be re-released in November 2015. Both reissues will feature many previously unreleased tracks, including demo versions of some of the most important songs dating back to 1977.

Scorpions - Documentary On The Way

Renowned filmmaker Katja von Garnier accompanied German hard rock veterans Scorpions on what was originally supposed to be the band's farewell tour. The resulting documentary, Forever And A Day, follows the band on the road from Bangkok to Moscow, and culminates in Scorpions decision to scrap their retirement plans, deciding instead to mark their 50th anniversary in 2015 with a new tour, a new album and the Forever And A Day movie. Last Saturday saw the world premiere of the documentary in Berlin. A video report on the event can be seen below. The one and half hour long movie premieres in German theaters on the 26th of March.

Uli Jon Roth - To Release 'Scorpions Revisited'

Guitar maestro Uli Jon Roth is set to release a double-disc collection of 19 re-imagined Scorpions classics called Scorpions Revisited via UDR. Pre-orders for the album will be available soon. Uli Jon Roth was a member of Scorpions and in 2013, he found himself intrigued by the memory of those early days which began 40 years ago, and specifically by the music he helped write, perform and occasionally sing on the albums Fly To The Rainbow, In Trance, Virgin Killer and Taken By Force. It lead to Roth deciding to spend a year re-visiting, exploring, performing and re-recording his favorite Scorpions songs.
