Suffocation have uploaded a video clip for the track "Cataclysmic Purification". The footage was directed by David Brodsky (Arsis, God Forbid, Kataklysm, Swashbuckle), with animation by Tim Kellen. When asked about the new track and their soon to be released 6th full-length album Blood Oath, Suffocation bassist Derek Boyer stated:

"Cataclysmic Purification" audibly portrays a calamitous future approaching. With this song and the rest of the album I think we've maintained the musical integrity of the band while still having comprehensible brutality. US metallers Suffocation have posted online a new song, "Cataclysmic Purification", on their MySpace page.

"Cataclysmic Purification" comes off the band's forthcoming album, entitled "Blood Oath", which is scheduled for release on July 3 in Europe (on July 14 in North America) via Nuclear Blast Records.
