As I Lay Dying - New Project's Name And More Revealed

As hinted before, Metal Blade Records has announced that Jordan Mancino (drums), Nick Hipa (guitar), Phil Sgrosso (guitar) and Josh Gilbert (bass) of San Diego based metal act As I Lay Dying have teamed up with vocalist Shane Blay (previously lead guitar/clean vocals in Oh, Sleeper) to create the new band Wovenwar. That's As I Lay Dying minus Tim Lambesis. Over approximately the last year, the band completed work on new material recorded with producer Bill Stevenson (Descendents, Black Flag) with mixing duties currently being handled by Colin Richardson (Slipknot, Machine Head, Trivium). For now, you can enjoy a small teaser below.

Neurotech - New Album In 2014

A few days ago, the industrial solo project Neurotech announced the release of their new album this year. Wulf, the composer and producer of the band, talked about the upcoming release: "On this album, I try to combine all the knowledge learned during making of the earlier albums and push it a lot further in a fresh and interesting way. Still very electronic based & heavily produced while remaining very elegant and atmospheric."

Guitarist Mark Morton of Virginia metallers Lamb Of God is sitting out the band's current European headlining tour due to a "family emergency." Filling in for him is Paul Waggoner, who you might know from progressive metallers Between The Buried And Me. You can catch the band on tour this month in Europe supported by Decapitated and Huntress.

Australian progressive metal band Ne Obliviscaris has been working on their new album that will follow Portal Of I. The band declared on their Facebook page that they start recording drums for their new album today, the 16th of December. They also said that album is supposed to be released in mid 2014, very roughly. So, good news all around.

Septicflesh - 'A Fallen Temple' Reissue Cover Revealed

While their fans are eagerly awaiting their new album, Greek extreme symphonic metal band Septicflesh has revealed today the brand new cover and the tracklist of their upcoming reissue of 1998's A Fallen Temple. The cover was designed by Seth Siro Anton and the album will be released on January 17th (January 21st in North America) via Season Of Mist. This remastered re-release includes four rare bonus tracks.
