Slugdge - New Members And Hints At New Album

Having recently released their highly appreciated Esoteric Malacology, Slugdge shows no signs of slowing down. In fact, they have released a flurry of posts on their Facebook, announcing two new members: Moat Lowe on bass and Alan Cassidy of The Black Dahlia Murder on drums, and hinting that they are already working on their follow-up to this year's album.

Grey Skies Fallen - New Album To Be Recorded This Summer

Grey Skies Fallen have started the journey of producing the follow-up to their 2014 effort The Many Sides Of Truth, and are currently finishing writing the last song and demoing the tracks. They will enter the studio in the summer, and the album is to be mixed and mastered by Dan Swanö, who will also make a guest appearance on the album, according to their Facebook page. Darkane - New Album Update

Since the fall of last year, Darkane has been recording their follow-up to Demonic Art, which was released in 2008. They have been releasing studio updates and video diaries of the recording process on their Facebook account, and the mixing process is set to start the week after next. The final release date is yet to be determined at this point.

The Resistance - New Song Up For Streaming

The Resistance, a supergroup composed of guitarists Jesper Strömblad and Glenn Ljungström of In Flames fame, Marco Aro (ex-The Haunted) and Chris Barkensjö (Carnal Forge), have released a new song, called "Face To Face", from their upcoming four-track EP Rise From Treason. Dan Swanö And Lord K. - Song In Swedish Commercial Competition

And now for something completely different. A few months ago, Dan Swanö (Edge Of Sanity, Nightingale, etc.) and Lord K. (The Project Hate MCMXCIX, Torture Division) have entered a competition in Sweden, with the purpose of determining the next theme song for Ipren, a painkiller, just to have a laugh about it. The funny thing is that apparently the one-minute blasting death metal track has made it to the finals and seems to be winning.

In Mourning - Reveal New Album Details

Swedish progressive melodic death metallers In Mourning have revealed via Facebook the artwork, release date and tracklist of their upcoming album The Weight Of Oceans. The album is their third, it is scheduled to be released on April 18th and was recorded during late 2011 in the Abyss and Black Lounge studios in Sweden, again together with engineer Jonas Kjellgren. The cover art was created by Kristian Wåhlin.
