With members from Soilwork and Darkane, Terror 2000 has been on hiatus for several years, with their third and last album Terror For Sale released in 2005. However, there are some good news for all you thrash lovers out there.
Since the fall of last year, Darkane has been recording their follow-up to Demonic Art, which was released in 2008. They have been releasing studio updates and video diaries of the recording process on their Facebook account, and the mixing process is set to start the week after next. The final release date is yet to be determined at this point.
Where is that new Man Must Die opus that was supposed to be in the works two years ago? Well, it turns out that there has been trouble with finding a label willing to put out the new beast. Therefore, the death metal band is now inviting fans to help them release the album with a Kickstarter.
The Resistance, a supergroup composed of guitarists Jesper Strömblad and Glenn Ljungström of In Flames fame, Marco Aro (ex-The Haunted) and Chris Barkensjö (Carnal Forge), have released a new song, called "Face To Face", from their upcoming four-track EP Rise From Treason. The Resistance are also set to release their debut LP later this year.
Still no news about the release date for Arsis upcoming opus, Unwelcome. However, the band's new six-song EP, Lepers Caress, is now available for free download and streaming, as promised, at this location.
And now for something completely different. A few months ago, Dan Swanö (Edge Of Sanity, Nightingale, etc.) and Lord K. (The Project Hate MCMXCIX, Torture Division) have entered a competition in Sweden, with the purpose of determining the next theme song for Ipren, a painkiller, just to have a laugh about it. The funny thing is that apparently the one-minute blasting death metal track has made it to the finals and seems to be winning.
Swedish progressive melodic death metallers In Mourning have revealed via Facebook the artwork, release date and tracklist of their upcoming album The Weight Of Oceans. The cover art was created by Kristian Wåhlin.
