Immortal - Abbath's I Project Final Album Details And Photos

I, the new band featuring Abbath (Immortal), Ice Dale (Enslaved, Audrey Horne), TC King (Sahg, ex-Gorgototh) and Armagedda (ex-Immortal), has finalized the track listing for its debut album, "Between Two Worlds", due for release in North America on November 14 via Nuclear Blast Records. Recorded in Bergen, Norway's Lydriket Studio with Geir Luedy, and mixed by Peter Tägtgren (Immortal, Dimmu Borgir, Marduk), "Between Two Worlds" "will kick your teeth in and break your back!" according to the band. "Heavy, groovy, melodic, atmospheric, heck ? call it even catchy ? THIS ALBUM IS A MASTERPIECE!"

"Between Two Worlds" track listing:

01. The Storm I Ride
02. Warriors
03. Between Two Worlds
04. Battalions
05. Mountains
06. Days of North Winds
07. Far Beyond the Quiet
08. Cursed We Are

There will also be a limited-edition version of the album with two bonus tracks: "Bridges of Fire" and "Shadowed Realms".

Download a radio-broadcast-quality (not CD quality) version of the song "The Storm I Ride" at this location.

Decibel magazine had this to say about "Between Two Worlds": "Everything about the debut album from Norway's I screams black metal, excepting the death 'n' roll guitar riffs that pervade throughout. Abbath has managed to fuse his signature snarl with MOTÖRHEAD-styled rock and Demonaz's BATHORY-influenced lyrics in a way no band has previously attempted. IMMORTAL fans will surely embrace the band, as will extreme music newcomers that don't know the band members' history. This is a worthy new start for these scene mainstays."

Pictures from the band's appearance last month at the Hole in the Sky festival in Bergen, Norway can be found here.

Sepultura - Will Not Continue Using Name After Current Tour

In a brand new interview with the Brazilian newspaper O Estado de São Paulo, former Sepultura drummer Igor "Iggor" Cavalera is quoted as saying that he and the current Sepultura members have come to an agreement that the name "Sepultura" can only be used until the end of band's current "Dante XXI" touring cycle. However, in the same article, the group's bassist, Paulo Xisto Pinto Jr., denies that any such agreement was ever made.

Speaking to Blabbermouth.net back on June 13, 2006, Igor was asked if, in his opinion, Sepultura should go on without either of the Cavalera brothers in the lineup. "I don't have the right to say whether it should exist, or if it should go on, since I left the band," he said. "I think if it was like, if they threw me out of the band, or if it was like a fight, or if it was a different situation, I could have a different opinion, as far as continuing or not continuing. But as far as the way I see it , I think it's really up to them if they want to continue or if they wanna stop with Sepultura. Asked if he would try to stop the remaining Sepultura members if they tried to continue and record a new album under the Sepultura name with a different drummer, Igor said, "No, not at all."

Sepultura played their first official show in their home country with the group's new drummer, Jean Dolabella (ex-Udora), on August 5 at the Circo Voador in Rio de Janeiro.

Igor announced earlier in the year that he was taking a break from the group's touring activities to spend time with his second wife and their new son (who was born in January). Filling in on drums during the band's European tour with In Flames was Roy Mayorga, who played with Igor's brother Max in Soulfly for several years in the late '90s and again in 2001-2003.

Igor is the second Cavalera to leave Sepultura In 1996, Max Cavalera exited the group after the rest of the band fired Max's wife Gloria as Sepultura's manager.
