05:35 - Fearmeister What I found interesting is that the people who think 10s are next to impossible have a buy-threshold of ~7.5, while the people who have no problem giving out 10s have a buy-threshold of ~8.5. Just a cool thing I noticed
05:24 - Fearmeister Yea, so you like 2 of the songs less. There are plenty of people who gave out 9s to albums where they liked 2 of the songs a bit less than the rest
05:20 - deadone It'd be a 9 if songs like Sacrifice or Heavens On Fire were better. It'd be a 10 if these were excellent. However despite it's score of 8, large chunks are still soul catching.
05:17 - Fearmeister Yea, and so do I. I can fucking sing, air guitar and air drum Black Metal (the album) from start to finish. If that's not evidence of a 10, idk what is
05:15 - deadone Actually you are applying my scoring to your thinking.. Also something can be soulcatching and imperfect - I like Venom FFS.
05:09 - Fearmeister Exactly, you can't have 'unused' numbers. To leave 10s empty is simply stating that there is a level beyond soul catching
05:07 - MetalDoomMaster I think it's easier to think of 10s as "best of the best" instead of perfect. By your rating standards, there shouldn't even be a 10 on the scale. There must be some of those 9s you like more than other 9s.
A few days ago, Finnish rock band End Of You has entered the studio to record their third studio album called "Remains Of The Day".
The band states: "After writing and demo-ing songs for the last 8-9 months, we have returned to the studio to record 14 brand new tracks. Our batteries are fully charged and we are extremely excited to let you all hear the new stuff. The material itself is a mixture of heavy guitars, shitload of electronics & keyboards and atmospheres as well as lots of groove-oriented stuff and represents the sound of a more heavier yet quite pop-qualified End Of You.
Compared to the last albums, the recordings will be kept completely in our own hands and we will be working with ourselves as Johnny B and Jami Pietilä will produce the album. All instruments will be tracked at the bands own brand new studio in Helsinki under Johnny B's supervision who will also mix the album. During the recording process we will keep you all updated on the progress via EOU-TV."
End Of You (who recently parted ways with bassist Timo "Lede" Lehtinen) are proudly presenting a new drummer: Otto Mäkelä. A short statement from the band reads as follows: "After couple of jamming session we found this really solid and kick ass mutha to support our discobeats. Welcome Otto!"
End Of You are currently working on new material. According to a March posting, the band, after monts of songwriting and about 30 brand new songs, is currently shaping and pre-producing about ten songs that will appear on the third yet entitled album.
