American thrashers Havok have news for you. They are releasing their upcoming third studio album, entitled Unnatural Selection, on June 25th, 2013 in North America via Candlelight Records. The first single, "Give Me Liberty... Or Give Me Death", will hit Loud Rock/Metal radio on May 27th, 2013.
Back in September, German heavy metallers U.D.O.parted ways with longtime guitarist Stefan Kaufmann. Now, another longtime guitarist Igor Gianola left the band due to conflicts between U.D.O appointments and his private life and business. Moreover, the new U.D.O. album (title still to be announced) will be released on May 24th, 2013 via AFM Records.
Finnish metallers Amorphis have just announced the title of the band's upcoming album but that is not all. The band's 11th album will be entitled Circle and is set to be released on April 19th, 2013 via Nuclear Blast. The follow-up to 2011's The Beginning Of Times is being produced and mixed by Hypocrisy and Pain mastermind Peter Tägtgren.
Canadian progressive metal mastermind Devin Townsend is gearing up for one of his biggest accomplishments to date: The Retinal Circus. This one-night only event, which is set to take place at London's historic Roundhouse venue on October 27th, has been sold out for over a year now. Now Devin has partnered with LiveMusicStage.com to allow fans across the globe unable to attend this musical sideshow and stream the event live.
Danish prog/power metallers Evil Masquerade have unveiled the cover art for their upcoming album. Entitled Pentagram, the new release will hit stores on May 21st via Dark Minstrel Music. Swedish melodic death metallers Amon Amarth will celebrate their 20th anniversary with five special shows which will take place this August in Germany, Poland and Holland. The band commented about the shows: "We will perform two whole sets containing songs from our entire career and we will also arrange a meet and greet on all shows."
Irish folk metallers Darkest Era have debuted their new video for the song "An Ancient Fire Burns" exclusively at BloodyDisgusting.com. The song comes off their debut album, The Last Caress Of Light, released in February 2011 via Metal Blade Records. The video features a grim story with a surprise ending and is as melancholic and emotional as the band's music and was directed by Kieran Majury with Fastville Productions.
Finnish melodic death metallers Before The Dawn return after living through a phase of changes and uncertainty. The band's upcoming album, entitled Rise Of The Phoenix, will arise from the ashes on April 27th, 2012. It is their seventh studio album and at the same time the second release via Nuclear Blast Records.
Italian dark metallers Graveworm have announced some line-up changes. Founding member and guitarist Stefan Unterpertinger returns to the band after 10 years. He takes the guitar-part from Thomas Orgler who left the band due to personal reasons. Keyboard player Sabine Mair also left the band due to personal reasons.
US progressive metallers OSI have announced the details of their upcoming new album. Entitled Fire Make Thunder, it is slated for release on March 23rd in Europe and March 27th in North America via Metal Blade Records. You can check out an album sampler in the video below.
Swiss folk metallers Eluveitie have released a new video for the song "A Rose For Epona". You can watch it below. The video was produced by Polish company Grupa13, who had worked with the band on the clip for "Thousandfold" from the last album Everything Remains As It Never Was, but also worked with bands like Behemoth and Amon Amarth before.

German folk metallers Die Apokalyptischen Reiter have recently announced the supporting bands for their The Greatest Of The Best European Tour 2012. With 20 stations in England, France, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland and Germany (see the dates below), they will tour together with two different band lineups.
British progressive metallers Threshold have announced that their new album will be called March Of Progress and is due for release through Nuclear Blast Records in 2012. The provisional song titles on the new album are "Ashes", "Return Of The Thought Police", "Colophon", "Staring At The Sun", "Liberty Complacency Dependency", "Divinity", "The Hours", "Don't Look Down", "That's Why We Came", "The Rubicon" and "Coda".
Swedish progressive metallers Pain Of Salvation have announced their headlining tour of Central Europe for February and March 2012. See the list of the dates announced so far below. Vocalist and guitarist Daniel Gildenlöw comments: "This trip has been odd since we all know that Johan and Fredrik are leaving the band. We are enjoying ourselves on stage in the same way a typical Swede enjoys those late fall days of bonus summer, haha. That said, we have a very interesting line-up for February."
