Unearthly Trance - Announce Reunion

New York experimental doom/sludgers Unearthly Trance have announced via their Facebook page recently that they're back together. Two local shows have been booked on July 17th at The Acheron in Brooklyn and July 21st with Primitive Man at Sinclairs in Long Island. Some more shows are in the works for the North East dates in August as well as a soon to be announced festival in California. The band also announced that they've also begun work on what will be their sixth full length album.

Autopsy - Fully Reactivated, Abscess Disbanded

After 16 years of delivering punishing, extreme heavy metal, California's Abscess has decided to call it quits. The band's sixth and final studio album, Dawn of Inhumanity, was released in March on Peaceville Records.

Abscess drummer/vocalist, Chris Reifert (ex-Death, Autopsy), issued the following statement: "We need to inform you that Abscess has officially broken up. The reason for this is that Clint Bower (session Autopsy bassist) has left the band for personal reasons, and out of respect to him and to all who have supported us for these 16 years, we have decided to call it a day. Without Clint Bower, there can be no Abscess, so we won't even try to cheat anyone with something that is not the real thing. Dawn of Inhumanity has become our final statement, and we feel that it is the perfect way to close the Abscess chapter, since we must do so. Thanks to all of you who were and still are proud to call yourselves Abscess Freaks!"
