23:05 - EMols86 Enjoyed Pyramaze - Melancholy Beast for sure, except for the horrible song called "Until We Fade Away", which reminds me why I don't like (most) power metal.
22:51 - EMols86 Solefald (their debut). Since I'm now checking out Pyramaze (as I said, first time I listen to power metal in years) I'll check your link (Chinese band) after that. :-) Can't believe I actually like Pyramaze...
22:45 - MechanisT The new Blood Red Throne is killer material.
22:45 - Dark†SymphonY What band you talking about Emols?
22:42 - EMols86 Ah that sucks. I listened to it and while I didn't like every aspect of it (some vocals annoyed me, especially at the end) overall I found it quite good.
22:38 - Dark†SymphonY EMols, I'll have a look at that band later, YouTube isn't working for me atm.
More fine details have been posted on the Myspace blog of recently split Chicagoan extreme metal band Usurper. In November it was announced that a 10th anniversary re-release was in the works for the group's critically acclaimed CD EP 'Threshold of the Usurper'. Here are the specifics straight from the band's fingers:
"Greetings Warriors of Iron and Rust! This is just a quick update on the new Usurper album slated for early January 2008.
Actually it is not really a new album, it is a re-issue of our long out-of-print "Threshold of the Usurper" MCD. It does however have 2 unreleased tracks in addition to new killer artwork from JUHA VUORMA (Usurper: Skeletal Season/Autopsy fame), as well as never-seen-before photos, a 16 page booklet with extensive liner notes, and a new interview with founding members/songwriters Rick Scythe and General Diabolical Slaughter. This is a must have for anyone who followed Usurper over the years.

In other news, Kataklysm were forced to cancel the shows in Dublin and Glasgow on the 21st and 22nd for circumstances beyong the band's control.
"What a disapointment it was... What happend is simple. We didn't wanna make a big fuss out of it, but the hordes of angry Scotish and Irish fans contacting us, wondering why we cancelled, made me issue this update. We were 10 min. away from the fairy to Ireland when our tour manager woke us up in the early morning, telling us that the driver had been arrested because of overdrives and not taking the required rest time - In Europe, a new law has been established for six months, demanding new restrictions and less road times for drivers. This law had been protested by drivers and they made an example out of us.
Kataklysm frontman Maurizio Iacono checks in with the following update on the band's website, to lay any rumours to rest:
Kataklysm has officially postponed their scheduled Australian tour and their Road to Devastation II tour (which also included a few dates with Unleashed scheduled for April/May). Comments Maurizio:
"I know lots of our fans were looking forward to seeing us in Australia and in the UK, Scandinavia and all the places we haven't hit yet for this record, but believe me that none are more dissapointed then us... But they WILL be rescheduled. We are thinking of September or sometime during the fall. The reason behind the postponed dates: "The Devil Called... and made us an offer we couldn't refuse!"... Stay tuned for details regarding this... It will be massive."
