Shining - Postpone Finnish Shows Due To Frontman's Health

Black metallers Shining were supposed to start off a four-date Finnish tour in a few days but it has been announced that the tour will be postponed because Niklas Kvarforth has to undergo some intensive treatment for a back problem that developed during the last tour. In this case, the show will not go on.

Aeon - Reveal New Guitarist

Aeon recently faced the departure of long-time guitarist Daniel Dlimi, who left the band at the end of last year because he couldn't afford being in the band anymore. Well, his successor will be Ronnie Björnström (Bone Gnawer, ex-Ribspreader and Those Who Bring The Torture). You might remember him as the producer of the band's latest opus Aeons Black. He will already be working with the death metal group on their new album.

Den Saakaldte - Enter Studio In February

Norwegian black metal legion Den Saakaldte will have a busy schedule in the next few months. The band's debut album All Hail Pessimism is finally being re-released on February 17th, for the first time in vinyl format via Agonia Records. The first 50 copies come as a deep purple vinyl and 200 copies as black. Both available in a double gatefold sleeve (2xLP). Furthermore, the follow-up to All Hail Pessimism is finally coming together.

Metallica - Performing At Grammy Awards With Pianist Lang Lang

Metallica have been invited to perform at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards on January 26th. The group's Through The Never soundtrack is nominated for Best Recording Package and Metallica will be performing with Chinese pianist Lang Lang. They promise this will be a special performance. Andromeda - To Reissue 'Chimera' And 'II=I'

Inner Wound Recordings announced that the label will re-release the classic Andromeda progressive metal albums II = I and Chimera. Sigh - You Oshima To Guest On New Album

Japanese avantgarde metallers Sigh have confirmed today that multi-instrumentalist You Oshima from the solo project Kadenzza is going to play guitars for the band's upcoming 10th album Graveward to be recorded this year. According to the band, Graveward will be a "very cinematic album, epic, symphonic and of course evil and scary."
