US symphonic power metal outfit Operatika have issued the following update on their blog:
"Our new album is coming along great. 90% of the material has been written, and pre-production has been done for half of the album. Get ready for a much heavier, faster and more diverse sound this time around! We can't wait to show you what we've got cookin'! As one of the kick ass tracks on the album will be a cover of Dio's legendary tune "We Rock". We are also looking for graphic designers and artists for the new album's artwork. If you've got something you'd like to share with us, please send it our way."

Yes this is some great news, and now I see they are listed as playing in May at The Chance Theater in nearby New York (an awesome venue btw) I'm starting to wonder if the US is finally on to something with the excellent female-fronted metal bands that have been appearing in the past few years. Operatika had some awesome guitarwork last time around, let's see how it comes out this time! |
