From one listen, that seems a damn good song. As a long-term Danzig fan, this is really promising with regards to their forthcoming album. It's great to hear Glenn's unmistakable tones again with some new material.

Yeah, this new song sounds a bit more like the older stuff. But the Danzig albums after '4' are also great IMO. 666 Satan's Child, 777 I Luciferi and Circle of Snakes are really good albums - they have some excellent songs, despite the different approach.

Yeah, I heard some of the Black Aria stuff he did.. I didn't buy either of those albums but they sounded pretty good, although obviously completely different. I do love dark sounding ambient/orchestral sort of stuff though, like early Arcana.

With regards to the later Danzig albums, I can understand people not liking it because it's a bit more modern, with sort of industrial elements and stuff, whereas Danzig is generally associated with the 'doomy blues' kind of sound which was played on their early stuff. But I like those later albums because there's still a trace of that sound, and some great melodies - just portrayed in a different way.

I'm not really into the newer stuff because he almost completely lost his voice from the songs I've heard.

That being said, this new song ain't bad. Nothing like the old stuff, but definitely worth picking up if the rest of the album is of the same quality.
