13:02 - !J.O.O.E.! I loved Morrowing primarily for the fact you know you could hunt down legendary items from the off, and you could also walk into an area of enemies way beyond your level. Made exploration feel more real and worth it than Skyrim.
12:59 - !J.O.O.E.! I really hope they drop the whole enemies / equipment levelling with you like in Skyrim. Got sick of finding a high level piece of armour near the start to have it become totally useless and bettered by generic equipment later on.
12:55 - Zaphod Hadn't thought of the music. That'll likely be a problem. Not sure how I feel about the interface and leveling system of Skyrim in Morrowind...
12:51 - !J.O.O.E.! My main concern is the music; presumably they won't have the license for the original score, and also the UI, interface etc seems to be that of Skyrim, possibly the levelling system too.
12:48 - Zaphod Yeah, they have to retain the spirit of Morrowind's world and make it look new at the same time. Kind of.
12:47 - !J.O.O.E.! Yeah it should be good. There's already a pretty nice graphical overhaul for Morrowind though so I'm not expecting to be as blown away as I originally thought I would be. Depends on how they approach the artstyle I suppose.
Finnish progressive/melodic death metal band Crystalic are offering a free download of their sophomore release Persistence. Go to this location and get your free copy.
The band explained as follows: "So this is the way that music business works these days... We have patiently contacted record labels for over a year now and have not managed to get a single deal offered, that was nothing more than a total rip-off on the artist's expence. You really think that this material is not worth a decent release?!
We want to progress and evolve as a band and concentrate on playing live and composing new songs. This is not possible if we have an album's worth of material recorded and ready for release. Just waiting and waiting endlessly for a possible collaborator. We have waited enough and this is the only choice.
The name of the album is an indication of the last 3 years that we have managed to pull through after a near break-up and the difficult process of recording, which took almost 2 years, 3 studios and a vocalist change in the middle of it all. This album is dedicated to all of our fans, who believe in this band and to all people who fight for their dreams and never give up! So without further ado.. Download the album here, leave a comment, spread the word and LET THE METAL FLOW!"
