"Can Iced Earth fans handle nearly six hours...?"
Yes, so long as it's not "The Crucible Of Man" on a loop for nearly 6 hours.
Glad this is coming out finally! It wouldnt surprise me though, if the show with Ripper is the highlight of the 3 shows. lol |

I still don't understand the hate this album receives... |

Hey, Its just my opinion! lol
A lot of people hate the albums Tim Owens made with Iced Earth, I however, think they are great. |

You're not the only one that dislikes 'Crucible', I assure you
And now that you mention them, I find 'The Glorious Burden' to be quite lame - but not because of Ripper, but because it's less inspired than the rest. With the exception, of course, of the Gettysburg Trilogy, which is one of the most moving musical works i know (I mean, you're there, at Gettysburg, and see the Rebs charging, the Yanks holding on desperately. Awesome) |

If you ask me, the hate is well-deserved. The album is awful. |

This seems to be a promising release for Iced Earth fans. I'm not a big fan of them as such, but I do own several of their CD's and acknoweldge their quality.
Hopefully this DVD release will be sold at a fair price, though. It's great to have all that live footage, and the addition of a movie-length documentary seems particularly intriguing - but even die-hard fans may be put off if it means that the massive content means a massive price tag. |
