23:10 - Erik M. When comparing in-earbuds with earbuds of the same price range, the regular earbuds are better for sure (in my experience). The earbuds that came with my Blackberry 3 years ago weren't great, but I had them for 1.5-2 years...
23:08 - Erik M. When ignoring prices, yes. But all the earbuds I bought were relatively cheap (20-40 euros), with the in-earbuds being the worst of them all without a doubt, as far as sound quality goes.
23:06 - Zaphod I disagree, my speakers beat my headphones any day, although I have no idea how expensive my speakers are/were since I got them second hand. And for free.
23:06 - !J.O.O.E.! I find that hard to believe seeing as earbuds are the most common thing given away with cheap mp3 players etc. The fact they're the cheapest option and that there are a few mega-pricey in-ear ones makes me think they're better.
23:04 - Erik M. Joe, in my experience you're wrong about in-ear buds being superior to earbuds. The rest I agree with though. My speakers are also great, but then again it's hard to state a thing like that simply because they sound great to me...
23:03 - !J.O.O.E.! Zaph what I meant to say is that to beat a pricey, quality pair of headphones with speakers you'd need to spend thousands on a hi-fi system. So really headphones are the best option.
23:01 - !J.O.O.E.! I think in quality terms it's generally speakers > headphones (probably open back > closed back) > in-ear headphones > earbuds. Apparently though you would need to spend thousands on speakers to beat a £300 pair of headphones.
Bleeding The New Apocalypse will be released on February 14th, 2011 via Season Of Mist. More album details are available here.
Frontman Lord K. Philipson comments: "Why have we chosen this particular track to be your first glimpse of the new album? No reason really, we could have chosen any of them since they all absolutely dominate. We just thought it'd be nice to have Leif Edling somewhat introduce you to what we have created this time around. Yeah, Candlemass bassist/everyday legend Leif Edling contributes some spoken words in this track. You can all start applauding now. But not only that. In this tune you'll also get some insanely nice vocals from Christian Älvestam (ex-Scar Symmetry) (who also sang a line or two on our last album).
So, that's a lot of bonus stuff for ya apart from the simple fact that "Summoning Majestic War" is a goddamn phenomenal symphony that represents TPH in every shape, way and form. If you survive these 12+ minutes of pure excellence, pray you'll survive the remaining five tracks on Bleeding The New Apocalypse as well. It will not be an easy task. Domination is a fierce beast. Our work is done - now it's your turn to purchase the album and help us ship a few copies so we will be able to record another masterpiece with a great label such as SOM backing us up.
If you consider yourself a fan of music in general and TPH in particular, and do not absolutely love what we have created in this song, as well as the whole album - you are apparently deaf."
