| I like the fact that everyone seems to think this is something completely new and innovative. In Sweden we have had metal cruises every year. This year's Sweden Rock cruise has got Doro, for example. |

I used to work for Royal Caribbean ('01 - '03) and I know Cozumel quite well. For anyone lucky enough to be a part of this - a tip:
When you disembark at the Cozumel port, hire a jeep (remember to take your driver's license with) and take a trip to the other side of the island.
Here you'll find the true spirit of the island, awesome Mexican cuisine, proper tequila and friendly locals.
Or alternatively stay and enjoy overpriced shooters at soulless commercial franchises like Carlos & Charlie's or Fat Tuesday with all the overweight good-old-boys.
Hey, but whatever you decide to do, enjoy you lucky bastards.

Ew...Twilight of the Gods doing Bathory masterpieces? That's as bad as hearing Dragonforce perform Slayer masterpieces. 
Regardless of that small quibble, this event will be awesome. It's a shame that I lack the funds to go on this cruise, but maybe I'll be able to participate when another event like this is hosted in the near future. I just pray that this cruise doesn't sink, for too many awesome bands will be on it. |

Didn't we invent planes so we wouldn't have to travel via boat anymore? Cruises are like floating prisons with sorta better food and just as much involuntary anal. Except this one is gonna have a shit load of metal bands playing.
Oh yeah, and have fun ending up in Mexico! And being kidnapped by the Sinaloa cartel, tortured, killed, having your entrails removed and replaced with bricks of dope and shipped across the border. All cruises should end that way! |

The shitty thing about cruises/ overnight ferries is that, in the quest for more money (which apparently people who travel by boat usually have), they never let people choose just ONE bed in a cabin, like on trains with couchettes, so people travelling alone(after all, you AND at least 3 of your friends should afford this) are getting fucked over.
this is why i think i wouldn't have been able to go on this trip anyway, even if i had a lot of money(and it would probably cost me a year's salary anyway). and this is also why i probably will never take a cruise/overnight ferry in the foreseeable future(unless of course they have seats available too  ) |
