Arch Enemy - New Album Title Revealed

Metal masters Arch Enemy are currently locked up in the Sweet Spot Studio facilities in the south of Sweden recording their newest studio album which is being engineered/mixed by Rickard Bengtsson (who already produced 2005's Doomsday Machine). After releasing the Tyrants Of The Rising Sun: Live In Japan Live DVD/CD (2008) and the re-recordings album The Root Of All Evil (2009), the new studio effort marks the long awaited successor of 2007's acclaimed Rise Of The Tyrant album.
Previous to the recording session, UK's Bonkers Entertainment caught up with Arch Enemy at their headline show at the HMV Forum in London UK on November 27th, 2010. This concert was the last stop on a three year long touring cycle for the Rise Of The Tyrant and The Root Of All Evil albums. In the interview the members of Arch Enemy discussed the upcoming recording of the new studio album, the song writing process and touring plans for 2011. During the conversation, the band also divulged the title of the new album to be Khaos Legions. Check out the full clip below.

These guys are really amazing playing live. Watching those live footage from the interview makes me want to watch Tyrants... DVD again.

Well, I've never been a fan of word corruptions for marketing campaigns or album titles, so I'm a little disappointed as well. But then again, it's really never been a good indicator of the musical quality of releases, so yet again, time to ignore the marketing stuff and wait for the music

The only ones trolling here are the band members for their beleaguered attempt at seemingly catering to a prepubescent market by the purposeful misspelling of a word generally considered by said market as an independent thought form to express their angst. Of course we're all reading too much into this, but it still looks stupid at first (and second) glance. As questioned before: why not just spell it the way it appears in the dictionary? Maybe Arch Enemy will abandon their style of music in order to join the ranks of black metal. (Ba-zing?)

Doesnt change the fact that "Khaos Legions" is a stupid album title. lol At least Ozzy had the sense to change his similarly silly album title before it was released.  Its not really possible I dont think, for the Amott bros to make bad music, so Im pretty confident the new one will have some good songs on it. xD

Umm you guys DO know that 'Khaos' is actually the correct spelling (oldie worldie speaking that is) and that 'Chaos' is only the modern spelling, don't you? Guess you don't If they make references to the Protogenoi of Greek Mythology, and more specifically Khaos herself, then this album title will make sense.
