A six-and-a-half-minute portion of "Specular Reflection", a brand-new track from US progressive metalcore band Between The Buried And Me, has been made available for streaming, exclusively at Altpress.
"Specular Reflection" comes off the band's upcoming new album The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues, which will be released on April 12th through Metal Blade Records.

| Hmm. Not sure what to make of this. Seems a little stagnant, not much evolution in the sound. The intro also just seemed like it was silly for the sake of being silly. Then again, maybe I just need to listen to it more. As of now, I'm not that excited. |

| I don't know... the opening sounded promising but it seems they are stuck in a post-Colors loop. The same feeling I got from my first listens of the newer Dream Theater albums... |

Sounds nice, nothing out of the ordinary when you think about Colors or The Great Misdirect.
We'll have to see what the rest of the album is like. |

| The problem with BTBAM is that all their heavy parts sound alike, fortunately the second half of the song sounds great although not very different from Colors/TGM. Can't wait to hear it all ! |

| I honestly think you're all crazy. It's a lot tighter than most of what they've released in my opinion. And the transitions from heavy parts to the lighter segments seem a lot smoother. |
