Sound definitely like Unexpect! Their female singer is even more varied than before... Yay!

As I said before this does sound different yet not bad. It sounds like there going in a more technical yet accessible direction while trying for some rather ambitious "classic" musical concepts and still holding onto a bit of their signature zaniness. I'm actually glad they aren't trying to be just as spastic and insane as in Flesh Aquarium, as I was afraid they would try to force their craziness. Now I know I'm not going to be completely disappointed and not going to compare it solely on the merit "is not as crazy".

I couldn't have said it better! IAFA is a unique and nearly perfect album, it would be pointless trying to imitate chaos and madness... This band is ever-evolving. Just listen to Utopia, it doesn't have much in common with IAFA, yet the core is undeniably Unexpect. Anyway, it's not like you could actually "expect" anything from a band called Unexpect...

I don't usually say this, but based on what I just heard, it sounds like the album might be an avantgarde metal masterpiece.

That's the kind of change I really like and support. No, really, that jazzy part was soooo good!

I remember listening to Utopia and seeing what they where trying to do (seamlessly combine a bunch of extreme metal genres while finding a balance between independent musical elements and merged ideas, aka trying to be original in its breadth) but it just came off as bland. I'm glad that they found what they were looking for in Flesh Aquarium and can now rest assured that the new album is worth anticipating for. It looks like theres gonna be an advante-garde war this year between Unexpect and Akphaezya (if they release anything good that is)

Actually, when I listened to the first song that appeared on the internet from the new album (a live version of Unfed Pendulum, you can find it on youtube), my thoughts on the upcoming level of craziness were sort of opposite (but still in a good way, not that it is forced or such). But as for Orange Vigilantes, I agree with your post... we shall see what the whole album will sound like.

I think the album has been complete for a year now. They couldn't find a company to release this record after they ended their contract with The End Records.
Its a real shame that a band with this quality can't get a good record deal

"Fables of the Sleepless Empire" seems to be the name of the new album, according to the song's Tag =D

If the whole album continues along the same way as this song, it WILL be an avantgarde masterpiece.

Waiting another nine months blows.

Excellent song.. I concur with the above comments really. Saying it's 'less insane' than the previous album, but still a hundred times more insane than most other bands in the world! Composing music as technical as this must be a mind-buggering task with all the constant time changes and so much happening.
