UK's prog band Pure Reason Revolution have announced that they are calling it quits after the final 6 shows in UK in November. The previously announced mainland performances in Ukraine at Moonloop Festival on August 14th, and two shows in Holland on November 11th and 12th have been cancelled. At the final UK shows the band will, however, also perform their highly acclaimed debut album The Dark Third in its entirety. Read more for the band statement and tour dates.

Dear PRR peeps,

**BREAKING NEWS** For all of us PRR has been a labour of love for many years, but our individual changing circumstances necessitate its time to finish. It's been a long & winding journey & we want to say a huge thanks to you all for the support you've given.

We're so sorry that due to extenuating circumstances we are unable to perform at Moonloop Festival, Ukraine & the two Holland shows 11th &12th November.

However we have 6 final UK shows booked to enable us to say a fond farewell to you all.

This is terrible news. While yesterday I started the day with the news that Riverside would be playing a show in Portugal, today one of my favourite bands is ending.

Don't know what to say, except this is bad.

Yeah, this is a pretty devastating piece of news, The Dark Third is one of my all time favourites. Guess a trip to UK is in order for me now.

Who?
BloodTears - 12.08.2011 at 13:33
I got to see them live once, but they were just opening for Porcupine Tree.

I really thought I would see many many more albums from this band.

Damn that's crushing, I thought this band had a bright future ahead of them.

Disappointing...

I'm sorely tempted to go to this one. Playing Dark Third in whole would be so cool. we should meet up in London =P

If you're going, sure thing. I'll have to be in London no matter if I go to the London gig or some other one.

Terrible news. I really like this band. Cool, unique prog rock.

Aw, crap. This is a good band, and now they're splitting up. I was definitely not expeecting that, because it's not like they were getting older or anything. With that said, they had a good run making fine music. Best wishes to them and their post-PRR lives.
