Black Sabbath - Announce Summer Tour 2012

Black Sabbath press release:

Still no confirmed Belgrade, but the plans are shaping up among our organisers and I'll probably have a chance to see them. But I'll probably go there just wishing Dio alive and well, to sing the Heaven & Hell songs. Or any song, just to see him in front of me.

Here's hoping that the Wizzair ticket I have from Belgrade to Malmo gets schedule-changed so I can then fly there on the 1st and catch this show

II thought the other members swore to never play with ozzy again. Did Sharon die or something? Nice to see that a reunion is FINALLY happening.

Money has a way of changing peoples' minds. Once the option to hook up with Ronnie went out the door, Ozzy was their last tie to easy cash.

They're going to announce more tours by the end of the year than the combined age of the musicians.

Well I hope that the other members don't get screwed over. Last time I heard Ozzy (a.k.a.) Sharon wanted 50% of Sabbaths Royalties. I guess in the end we get a new reunion album which we'll all be disappointed with.

Regardless of what the fans think, they'll make their money. They could release a complete turd and people could universally hate on it all over the world, but the fact remains: It's BLACK SABBATH. Who isn't going to blindly buy into a reunion, right? Those who don't will be in the minority. There's too much weight in their name to be ignored.

And Ozzy probably needed the 50% royalty checks for vocal lessons.

Turkey! Where is turkey?

They're still in the process of revealing tour dates, and they're calling this a world tour so don't rule out Turkey yet. You can check the band's website for updates on the tour by the way. Or wait for the event to be edited on Metal Storm.

You are right about that, loads of people (me included) will buy blindly tickets and albums. Cause like you said its Black Sabbath. And maybe Ozzy's voice is not perfect anymore we have to see. On Albums it is anyway. I have seen him a couple of times and i have to say that sometimes his voice is not in such a good shape, other times it is. But that's has nothing to do with vocal lessons at all. Its a matter of taste if you like his wailing banshee voice or not.

As for the upcoming album, i hope it wont be disappointing but i don't think so since this line up (the 4 original members) never brought out a album which disappoint. Iommi never disappoint anyway and he is the one who writes the music. Geezer said its going to sound more like the first Sabbath albums so that's really something to have high hopes for.

Of course he said it's going to sound like the originals. Do you think Ozzy could pull off anything Ronnie James ever did?

On top of that, it also gives them guaranteed sales because of the hopeless individuals who would do anything to hear them go back to their glory days.
