00:03 - Korah Yeah, MS ratings on new albums are totally f****ed! You just have to watch ratings from 2000 and ratings from 2016! Metal was'nt so much better than today releases.
23:53 - Czerny Reiter There's a dearth of reviewers on the site and most of what gets reviewed ends up getting a good grade (on the grounds that pro-bono reviewers mostly review what appeals to them).
23:48 - Overrwatcher I feel as if SSUS's review backlash is a perfect example of this. When he gave a 2/10 people didn't say much. When he gave a 9/10 people questioned his review integrity.
23:42 - Overrwatcher I will always bring up BMTH's "There Is A Hell" in this regard. Very well received literally everywhere but MS. Here it's one of the lowest rated albums in the database.
23:38 - Overrwatcher Bands can put out similar quality records to 10 years ago yet get over 1 point less. People have been much more negative recently. And MS also seems to shit on some albums at random.
23:36 - Overrwatcher I'd say that MS is generally somewhat close to the general consensus, with exceptions. Melodeath gets overrated, metalcore underrated. And there is a notable difference in modern album scores.
23:28 - !J.O.O.E.! One could argue that that album's appeal is underground =V
US metallers Charred Walls Of The Damned recently filmed a video for "Zerospan". The track is one of the most popular songs from Cold Winds On Timeless Days, the most recent album from the super group. A trailer for the video can now be seen below.
Richard Christy talks about the concept behind the video: "What we're crafting with the "Zerospan" video is a five minute technological horror film set to blistering heavy metal! We had such an amazing filmmaking team for the "Zerospan" video. We had Directors Mike Schiff (Charred Walls 'Ghost Town' video) and Sean McEwan (Albino Farm) who are super talented and have brought some incredible ideas! We also had amazing special effects makeup by Brian Spears and Pete Gerner from G and S Effects who recently did the amazing vampire film "Stakeland"! Our lead actor Bryan Haeffele did amazing as well, and people are going to freak when they see the creature effects in this video! We're going to spend some time editing and making it perfect and we're looking to a January 2012 release date! We wanted to release this quick little teaser to give everyone a taste of the horrifying awesomeness that will be the "Zerospan" video! Trust me, it is going to be well worth the wait!"
