Definitely Megadeth is the strongest nominee this year.
I hope they'll win! |
...And once again Dave Mustaine will be left be growling under his breath, whilst pretending to smile as another band goes up to accept the grammy. |

Yeah, all the nominated songs are probably the "worst" or at least more mainstream songs of their respective albums.
But let Mastodon take it since "The Hunter" is the best album among the other nominee's |
| Riight, put Mastodon, Sum 41, Megadeth and Foo fighters in the same category. Way to compare apples with apples. |

I like "The Hunter" but "Locust" is a MUCH STRONGER METAL album. Mastodon will win though. |

| Grammys are fucked every year. No new surprises here. Most respectable musicians I've seen interviews with refer to it in some way or another as a big circle-jerk for music industry types. |

We're talkin' the grammies. You know, that award show where Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga are advertised on TV for weeks before hand>?
Heh, the grammies... What a joke. Only NU-Metal bands, slipknot, metallica and Dave Mustaine care about their "metal catagory" |

| That Loudwire contest is a bunch of nonsense, but still, Machine Head should win by default. |
I keep thumbs up to Mastodon, but Megadeth's win wouldn't be crime against humanity either. |
| The Grammy awards are irrelevant. |
1989 - Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance
AC/DC - Blow Up Your Video
Jane's Addiction - Nothing's Shocking
Metallica - ...And Justice For All
Iggy Pop - "Cold Metal"
Jethro Tull - Crest of a Knave (WINNER)
organizations/institutions like this evolve over time. even if a band you found deserving won you would probably trash that band for selling out after they get more popular with the crowds you don't like. my assumption is that you like your bands underground so who cares. you little tikes have too many forums and outlets these days to whine. you should go outside and play. |

Loudwire award: Legends of 80s annual rehash releases vs. Modern MetalCore psuedo-metal
...i think ill stick with the Europeans for modernmetal |
| Sum 41 is easily the strongest contender, especially because they've been totally relevant for the past decade and change. |

Oh, that's because Grammy Awards aren't run by the Illuminati, the knights of Templar actually own that shizzle. |

| Why Lulu is not on that List??........ just kidding |
| Such a shame putting Megadeth beside Sum 41 on that prize |

| Uhm....Locust is a strong nominee but I think Megadeth gonna grab this one again with their debauchery fame. tbh I'll support Machine Head's Locust!! Second best imo gonna be "Curl of the Burl"!! phuff....lets see..! |
Only two good songs up there, "Public Enemy No. 1" and "Curl Of The Burl". I prefer the latter, so I hope Mastodon wins.
But yeah. Grammy shit is Grammy shit. |

Seriously, that's just disrespectful to Sum 41. |

| Hope Mastodon wins, even though I think Curl Of The Burl is one of the worst songs they've ever made, it's still better than the pile of shit that is Public Enemy No. 1. Locust is a pretty good song too, but I'm not a big Machine Head fan. |

| And something is very strange for me, can anyone explain this, I've heard of this music award, but I thought that metal bands won't nominate for this award, hmmm I don't know I think bands and musicians has participated in this music award event is so far from what metal musicians are and they are so far different, so how they will be compared ? ! |

Personally, I think it's great that Anthrax are FINALLY getting recognized as a serious competitor to Megadeth. That said, I think that, from the viewpoint of the quality of the songs, "Locust" has the best chance of winning overall.
On a side note, anyone else notice that Anthrax are the only nominee who aren't on Roadrunner Records at all? |
| Like last year again megdeth nominated with very Mediocre song between these bands surely foo fighters have better chance for winning |
