Kittie - Split With Bassist Ivy Vujic, Trish Doan Returns To The Band

Canadian metallers Kittie have announced the return of bassist Trish Doan to the band following the departure of Ivy Vujic. Doan was previously in the band from 2005-2007, appearing on the band's 2007 release Funeral For Yesterday.

Ivy Vujic stated: "After 4 amazing years of jamming with my crazy metal sisters of Kittie, I am officially resigning as their bass player. I've had an incredible time touring the world with these ladies and I am very grateful for all the fun I've had and amazing things I've had the opportunity to experience. After a lot of touring and 2 albums with Kittie, I feel it is time for me to move on. There are still other things for me to do in my life and although I will always appreciate Kittie and the amazing fans we have, it does not fit my plans right now. I will however continue to write and play music and plan to eventually tour again."

Trish Doan commented: "I am very happy to be reunited with the Kittie family. The girls and I have remained close friends over the last 7 years and I am excited to have this amazing opportunity. I am looking forward to seeing everyone when we go back on the road this spring. I wish Ivy all the best!"

Music was my life, music brought me to life and music is how I will be remembered long after I leave this life. When I die there will be a final waltz in my head that only I can hear.

Me neither

I used to listen to them a lot a few years ago, but haven't even heard a snip it since.

I think I bought "Spit" for like $0.89.

Yeah, Kittie has still been pumping out albums...they've gotten a lot better over the years...just like a lot of people never thought that Limp Bizkit was still putting out albums...or that Vanilla Ice is releasing rap/nu metal albums these days...

The only thing I remember from Kittie was when they came out with the video for "Brackish" in the mid 90s. I only remember it being awful, so $.89 for the whole album is about what I would pay for it if I were to invest in anything Kittie related hahaha.

I thought "what the hell, it's only $.89 and I get to add it to my collection. I couldn't lose!"

upon further digging It seems I gave the album a "7"...
