Swedish black metallers Marduk will be heading back to North America this June for a headlining tour with 1349, Withered, and Weapon as special guests. The band also announced two other shows for Chile and Puerto Rico.

Well they're more like a revivalist death metal band with sludge leanings, so sound-wise they aren't too far removed from being compared to Marduk or 1349 (sometimes extreme metal is extreme metal regardless of getting into genre wars - sometimes). But what strikes me as odd is the fact they're two years removed from a full-length release and I haven't heard anything about them for 2012. |
